WHAT DOES I-SPoT STAND FOR? Intelligent Saving Potential Tool
I-SPOT PLATFORM https://www.fronius.com/i-spot / I-SPoT landing page is linked to the official Fronius website / Available to everyone with this link / Registration necessary System requirements: Browser versions: / Internet Explorer 10 and later / Mozilla Firefox 30 and later / Google Chrome 35 and later (does not work for I-SPoT Calculator!) 3
I-SPoT Calculator 4
WHAT IS THE I-SPOT CALCULATOR? / The I-SPoT Calculator is a tool for calculating the potential savings on offer from using Fronius Selectiva battery charging systems rather than chargers from other suppliers. The calculation takes the following into account: / The energy needed to charge the traction batteries (incl. CO 2 emissions) / The water consumption arising from topping up the electrolyte after every nth charging process / The time and labour costs of topping up the water / The battery life, which can be extended by using charging technology from Fronius 5
WHAT DOES THE I-SPOT CALCULATOR SHOW? / Presentation of the savings for each year of operation (up to the 5th year) / Overview of the overall costs after 5 years TCO view 6
WHAT DOES THE I-SPOT CALCULATOR SHOW? / Pay-back calculation based on the savings made possible by Fronius charging technology / Summary per category (e.g. energy costs), departments and locations. 7
WHO IS THE TARGET USER OF THE I-SPOT CALCULATOR? / The calculator is currently available for any registered user at http://www.fronius.com/i-spot / This tool is primarily used by the Sales teams of the Fronius Perfect Charging organisation (National+International). It is also available to existing and future sales partners / In order to produce the most accurate result possible, the following precise information is needed: / Operation (e.g. number of shifts, charges per day, etc.). / Inventory/energy package (e.g. number of forklift trucks and batteries, battery size, costs, etc.). / General operating costs and materials (e.g. technician labour costs (hourly rate), costs for water, energy costs, etc.). / Based on the amount of data to be entered and the calculations performed, we recommend that training on this tool is undertaken at Fronius International GmbH 8
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? / Possible savings over 5 years from using a Fronius Selectiva battery charging system made visible Raising awareness of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) vs. pure investment cost / Highlighting and visualising the sustainable cost saving on the basis of verifiable calculation methods and values (VDI, ZVEI, test measurements from real-life usage) / Use of the results as proof of energy efficiency measures (as per EEffG 2020) 9
I-SPoT Viewer 10
WHAT IS THE I-SPOT VIEWER? / The I-SPoT Viewer web application which is unique in this field visualises the entire charging operation of a Fronius battery charging system in the form of charging characteristics and a statistical summary (report) (currently for 8 and 16kW models; also available for the new 2 and 3 kw series from the end of 2016) / Users only need to register on the http://www.fronius.com/i-spot landing page to use the Viewer / After registering, the I-SPoT Viewer can be used for free and without restriction 11
WHAT DOES THE I-SPOT VIEWER SHOW? / Overview of all the charging operations / Immediate error detection and description of faults / Different representations of the charging processes
WHAT DOES THE I-SPOT VIEWER SHOW? / Statistical evaluation of all uploaded data (max. 52 log files = 1 year) / Information on / Utilisation (charging mode, standby, conservation charge, switched off, etc.) / Charging behaviour (charges completed, charges interrupted, etc.) / Charging settings (characteristics, time, etc.) / Battery condition at start of charging (start voltage, depth of discharge, etc.) / Battery temperature (temperature-controlled charging option only) / Events (faults, warnings, etc.) 13
WHO IS THE TARGET USER OF THE I-SPOT VIEWER? / This tool is primarily aimed at users with an interest in the charging process and charging behaviour (troubleshooting, optimisation, etc.) AND who have the necessary know-how to interpret the information / Typical users are: / Technical support/maintenance staff or after-sales employees of a forklift truck or battery manufacturer/dealer / End customers in the intralogistics sector with expertise in battery charging technology and usage 14
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? / General: / No spreadsheets (Excel, etc.) needed / All relevant information at a glance / Time-saving practically no IT knowledge or skills needed; very easy to use. / For dealers/manufacturers: / End users: / Tool for presenting the unique Ri charging process for Sales teams (based on real data) / Tool for identifying faults or incorrect usage (opportunity charging, Stop button pressed? etc.) / Logging and documentation of data in the event of warranty or guarantee claims (especially for rental and full-service systems) / Reporting for end customers / Ability to locate faults, optimise and monitor the system while the forklift truck fleet is in use / Reporting for decision-makers (availabilities/utilisation, error frequency, energy turnover, etc.) 15
