ASSEMBLY, OPERATION, PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE 1. FEATURES The Tradequip Strut Spring Compressor Stand has specially designed upper jaws that adjust up-down for clamping the spring tightly, safely, and securely. The spring compressor adjustable base holds the strut leg very securely and it's very simple to dismantle. The lower hydraulic clamp foot pump mechanism is easy and safe to operate ensuring hands are free to steady load. The heavy duty safety cage offers operator safety. Specifically designed for dismantling macpherson strut shock absorber assemblies, applicable for most cars. 2. ASSEMBLY Unpacking: After removing the packing material, make sure the product is in perfect condition and that there are no visible damaged parts. The packaging materials (Polyethylene bags, polystyrene etc.), must be disposed of responsibly in an appropriate refuse collection container. These materials must not be left within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger. 1. Install on a solid flat concrete floor. 2. Anchor the unit to the floor utilising the four holes in the base plate. Make sure there is no movement between the base plate and floor. 3. BEFORE USE Inspect before use and do not use this spring compressor if parts are loose or damaged. Strut Spring Compressor stand should be bolted to the workshop floor before use. Apply grease to the front and rear faces of the main upright to assist the smooth sliding of upper and lower strut support rollers. Conduct a visual inspection of spring compressor and ensure pins are securely positioned and that there is no sign of wear or fatigue. If found, do not use the unit until it is repaired by an authorised technician. Made in China to TQB Brands Pty Ltd specifications Page 4

Ensure appropriate spring coils are securely seated in the correct upper and lower spring shoes and cannot slide out during compression. 4. Close the spring compressor safety cage 5. When compressing the spring the operator must always stand to the side of the spring compressor. 6. Before attempting to remove the top cap nut, always use some type of tool to test that the compression on the nut and washer has been relieved. DO NOT use fingers 7. Remove nut and washer and lower strut assembly clear of spring. 8. Immediately release tension on the spring by depressing the release pedal. NEVER leave compressed spring unattended. WARNING!
