Operating principle The MPR 100 allows the study of the regulation of multi-process such as pressure, flow rate, level, the temperature and the ph with configuration of PCs parameters. A pump ensures the water supply in many circuits where is realized the regulation of flow rate, of temperature, level and pressure. A second pump as well as a metering pump provides basic water supply and acid to achieve a ph regulation in a reactor made of transparent glass. Several types of sensors measure the corresponding parameters. A digital controller receives the flow rate informations, pressure, temperature... and shall adjust the opening of the pneumatic control valve to reach the set point. The unit comes complete instrumented with technical and pedagogical documentation in French and all the accessories required for proper operation (Included the supervision software). The robust design of this equipment makes it perfectly suited for use in schools. Its anodized aluminum structure on wheels makes it extremely robust as well as great flexibility of integration into your premises. The manufacturing of this equipment meets the European machine directive This equipment can be used alone or with other compatible equipments of our range (see last section of this document). Illustration N Réacteur En verre ph P Cuve inox Echangeur à plaques D Pompe 2 Acide T The unit comes with all the elements to make the simple regulating loop with configuration of the parameters and supervision on graphic interface. The unit comes complete with four tanks (water, acid, base, pressurized vessel), the water container being equipped with an immersion heater for heating. The circulation of fluid is done using two centrifugal pumps; the circuits are equipped with flowmeters. The regulating part of temperature, flow rate, pressure and level is performed on the pump N 1. The ph regulation is carried out on the pump N 2 and a metering pump. It is possible to use two different actuators (a proportional regulating valve or a solenoid valve) Reproduction interdite / copy prohibited Copyright DIDATEC avr.-17- page 2
Echangeur à plaques MPR100 Illustration The first loop allows to study the regulation of flow rate. It is composed of the liquid tank (V=50L), of the pump N 1, of a flowmeter with the axial turbine with its converter and one of the actuators. The disturbance is performed by ball valve fitting located in downstream of the actuator. D Eau Flow control The second loop allows to study the regulation of temperature in the water tank (V=50L) with heating resistance. It is composed of a water tank, of the pump N 1, of the heating rod, of the plate exchanger and a temperature sensor (T) with analog output placed in the tank, of a low level safety by floater and a safety system in case of overheating. The disturbance is performed by the cooling with the help of the water network of the plate exchanger.the flow rate sensor is on the heating loop. Eau T Eau réseau Temperature control The third loop allows to study the regulation of pressure in the stainless steel pressurized tub (Vol =15L). It is composed of a water tank, of the pump N 1, of one of the two actuators, (regulating valve or solenoid valve), of the stainless steel tub and pressure sensor with analog output (P), a drain valve and a venting valve into the atmosphere. The disturbance is performed by a ball valve fitting which allows to create a leak of the stainless steel tub towards the water tank. The fourth loop is used to study the regulation of the level in stainless steel tub (Vol = 15L). It is composed of a water tank, of the pump N 1, one of the two actuators (regulating valve or solenoid valve), of the stainless steel tub and the level sensor (N) at the analog output. The disturbance is performed by a ball valve fitting which allows to create a leak from the stainless steel tub towards the water tank. N Cuve inox Eau Level control The fifth loop allows to study the regulation of ph. It is composed of two tanks: one of acid and of base (V=10L each), pumps N 2 and metering pumps, of the glass reactor with agitator (Vol = 3L) and of the ph probe (ph) at the analog output. The disturbance is realized by varying the flow rate of acid in the reactor. The regulating unit multi- process is equipped with a synoptic where all the sensors connections are deferred and detectors present on the machine. The diagram below is a representation of the latter: All the elements are clearly represented and can be connected between them following a good logic. The elements such as the pumps and the agitator can be connected to the rest of the synoptic or directly operated by using the switch. The supplies allow to simulate a sensor for the regulator or directly activate the actuators (regulating valve, solenoid valves, and resistors) Services required Documentation Electrical supply : 400 VAC 50 Hz Water supply : 15L/min 3 bars Air supply : 3 bars Dimensions: (LxWxH mm): 2100 x 750 x 1940 weight (Kg): 200 Note : if the equipment installation is operated by our staff, all supplies and exhaust connections required must stand at less than 2m from the machine User s manual Pedagogical manual Technical documentation of the components Software of supervision Certificate of conformity CE Reproduction interdite / copy prohibited Copyright DIDATEC avr.-17- page 5
Supervision : Parameterization, Plot of curves The unit is also fitted as standard with a monitoring software and parameterization. The connection to the PC is realized via a standard USB port. The software is divided into two parts : PARAMETERIZATION : This section provides access to the parameters display directly via a data browser similar to that of Windows. The front panel of regulator is reproduced on the PC screen and the operator can actuate the buttons and controls as if he was on the pilot. Parameterization of proportional gain, of integral gain and of derived gain. PLOTTING OF CURVES: This section allows you to draw the curves with the signals of the regulator. For example on this image below we visualize the setpoint and the real-time measurement, but it is possible to add other parameters such as the output signal... The data stored during the plot can then be saved in a file in Excel format. Reproduction interdite / copy prohibited Copyright DIDATEC avr.-17- page 6
