Figure 7. Conduit Fitting Installation (Typical). 6. Hang the BT300 Drive in place on the drive adaptor plate. Use two of the hex nuts at the top studs to hold the drive in place. Figure 10. Complete the Drive Installation. Installation of the BT300 Drive is now complete. Figure 8. Drive Installation, Step 6. 7. Maneuver the gland plate in place while positioning the drive in its final location. Figure 9. Gland Plate Re-Installation. 8. Reattach the gland plate using the screws removed in installation Step 4. Remove the hex nuts at the top of the drive adaptor plate and using the remaining hex nuts, lock washers and, and washers, secure the BT300 Drive in place. Page 8 of 10 Siemens Industry, Inc.

Wiring the BT300 Drive 1. Run the existing wires from thebypass enclosure back up through the conduit and into the bottom of the BT300 Drive. Figure 2. Re-Install the Protective Cover. 4. Connect the control wiring to the appropriate terminals as shown in Table 1. Figure 1. BT300 Drive Power and Motor Connections. 2. Trim and strip the wires as needed. Terminate the input, output power wires, and the ground to the BT300 Drive. NOTE: If wires are not long enough, replace with only the same Type and size. 3. Reinstall the cable protection plate using the screws that were removed in installation Step 3. Figure 3. BT300 Drive Control Wiring. 5. Use cable ties to secure the control wiring to the cable protection plate. Completing the Installation 1. Using a utility knife or pliers, cut free the opening on the drive cover to clear the control wiring conduit. 3. Remove the existing bypass labels on the inside of the bypass cabinet door and replace with new labels provided in the Migration Kit. 4. Close the bypass enclosure door and secure. 5. Reconnect power. Bypass Parameter Settings Figure 1. Trim Cover to Match Conduit. 2. Mount the BT300 Drive cover and tighten the screws. 1. Change Ctrl Signal 2 A (3.5.1.2) to a value of DigIN Slot0.1 (virtual off). This removes the reverse command from DI2. 2. Change Run Interlock 2 (3.5.1.13) to a value of DigIN SlotA.2 (use Digital Input 2). This is used to monitor the M2 Contactor. 3. Change RO2 Function (3.5.3.2.4) to a value of FaultInvert. This is for fail-safe operation of fault relay (wired to normally closed contact). If the inverter loses power but the bypass does not, then the contact closes to indicate to the bypass that there is a problem. The installation is now complete.
