HISTORICAL VIEW AIK - Plant was built in the 1970s as part of the former AEG-Group; AIK = AEG Isolier-Kunststoffe. Along with a product range with thermo plastics, AIK developed a composite division with the important filament winding technology. In the early 1990s AIK started supplying carbon fibre roller tubes for INOMETA. In 2001 INOMETA acquired the filament winding activities from AIK. The new company started with the name Alpha Composites GmbH and was renamed to xperion Alpha Composites GmbH in 2003. With our new strategic focus on the energy and mobility market we have been operating under the name xperion Energy & Environment since the beginning of 2011. Since the beginning we started a continuous investment and modernization process. In 2005 the biggest filament winding machine worldwide was installed. In 2006 we started with the development of a revolutionary concept for high pressure tanks. The segment High Pressure Systems was founded. In 2007 we started the market development for High Pressure Systems.
