GEM 4 N include KlüberComp Lube Technology*, i.e. it i baed on epecially high-grade raw material and advanced additive, enabling maximum performance in the lubrication of all gear component. GEM 4 N clearly exceed CLP requirement according to DIN 51517-3. Correponding gear can be witched to GEM 4 N without prior conultation with the gear manufacturer provided the general application note are oberved. Klüberoil GEM 4 N offer high cuffing load capacity. GEM 4 N i micible with mineral oil. However, for the GEM 4 N oil to deliver it full performance, any reidue of a previouly ued mineral oil hould not exceed 5 % in quantity. For ue at permanent temperature of 80 C max., eal made of NBR may be ued. For higher temperature, eal made of FKM hould be choen. It hould be noted that elatomer from one or everal manufacturer can behave differently; therefore tet hould be performed. For checking the contact pattern during running-in, the inpection paint Klübertop P 39-362 Spray (Art. No. 081295) can be ued. Vicoity election When determining the oil vicoity for gear lubrication, the gear manufacturer' intruction take priority. Only for application where manufacturer' intruction are not available, the uitable vicoity can be determined a laid down in the workheet "Hint for Practice - election of oil vicoity for gear". To determine the correct oil vicoity for bearing, pleae oberve the bearing manufacturer' intruction. Due to the better vicoity-temperature behaviour of GEM 4 compared to mineral oil, the actual vicoity of GEM 4 N during operation differ and can be determined by mean of the encloed diagram.
