XH250 SPECIFICATION - OVERVIEW The TEREX Pegson XH250 Horizontal Shaft Impactor is a highly compact tracked crusher designed to reinforce a world class range of tracked machines. The TEREX Pegson XH250 offers both excellent reduction and high consistency of product yield. The XH250 is designed mainly for the recycling and demolition markets and is an ideal contract machine due to the compact design and mobility. XH250 on a demolition site in Germany. XH250 SPECIFICATION - IMPACT CRUSHER Principle components of the XH250 Impact Crusher Crusher Opening Rubber Curtain Chain Curtain Wear Liners Apron Adjustment Spindle Control Cylinder Top Impact Apron Apron Adjustment Spindle Inlet Chute Bottom Impact Apron Inlet Wear Beam Control Cylinder Rotor Full Blowbar Half Blowbar Principles of Operation Material enters via the crusher opening and slides down the inlet chute where it is struck by the blowbar which is held within the rotor. This initial impact breaks the material which is then accelerated onto the top apron where more reduction takes place on impact. This material then falls back into the blowbars and the cycle repeated until the material is small enough to pass between the apron and the blowbar. Once through this gap, further reduction occurs on the bottom apron until the material can again pass through the gap and discharge from the underside of the crusher. Any uncrushable material entering the chamber will relieve the overload cylinders and allow the material to pass. The cylinders will then return to the pre-set crushing position. The pre-set gap is adjusted by turning the adjustment spindle whilst the weight of the apron is held on the cylinder (hydraulic assist). Hinged side door allows access to apron tips and rotor for gap measurements and inspection. Options are available in high chrome and ceramic Applications This plant is designed for both demolition and quarrying applications. When fitted with martensitic or ceramic blow bars the crusher will tolerate small quantities of steel reinforcing bar in the feed. However, the machine is not designed to accept large pieces of steel or other uncrushable objects, and the feed material should be assessed / inspected for suitability prior to crushing. It is vitally important that large pieces of steel or similar uncrushable objects are not allowed to enter the crushing chamber as severe damage and injury may occur. When high chrome bars are fitted, all steel should be removed from the feed material and the machine should only be used on quarry applications, or clean materials such as asphalt. 5

There are optional front sections with spacings of 36mm or 46mm. There is also the option of rubber mats to completely blank over the grizzly sections for use when the fines in the feed are not excessive Removable rubber blanking mat fitted as standard. Mesh screens available as options Control: Variable speed control though the control panel and radio remote option if fitted Chute: The plant is fitted with a bypass chute. This has an internal two way flapdooor to control the direction of fines, either forward onto the product belt or onto the optional side conveyor. (if blanking mat is fitted) 6

XH250 SPECIFICATION - OPTIONAL EXTRAS Optical Belt Weigher A laser belt scale that monitors material volume passing over the headdrum. This is then converted into mass and can be downloaded to a hand held PDA unit via Bluetooth. PDA unit is included within the kit as standard Radio Remote Control Complete with integrated tracking functions and plant stop function NB This facility is only available in certain countries where type approval has been obtained Remote can also be used to: Start/Stop feeder Control feeder speed Raise/Lower product conveyor Open top apron Electric Refuelling Pump A 24 volt refuelling pump can be supplied to draw fuel from a remote source to the on plant fuel tank. It has a fuel transfer rate of 50 litres per minute. Complete with all fixtures and fittings kit Plant Lighting Lights mounted over the crusher and on the cowls at the front of the plant.
