Motors Copetence in lifting technology What otor is the best otor to use for a winch, and why? The choice for the right otor depends ainly on the available power source. Mobile applications like earth oving achines, piling equipent and obile cranes norally have a hydraulic power source, they don t carry high power copressors or generators. For these applications a hydraulic otor is selected. Stationary applications, ost of the tie can obtain power fro the ain grid, also on ships the electric power sources becoe ore and ore power ful, so an electric otor would be the right choice. Then we have the so called hazardous environents, where explosions ight occur, think of exploitation of natural sources, ining and offshore oil and gas. Air otors are very coon in these fields. The anner to control the winch depends on its task. Is it a stand alone lifting tool or a part of a coplete autoated process, to nae just two extrees. There are no standard controls. You can express exactly what is needed. This can vary fro the cheapest basic control, to a copletely coputerized control syste. Soe control options are shown on page 6. Sales progra Electric winches ESF ESF winches are designed as odular rope winches with 230 or 400 V drive flanged on worgear. The siple design is suitable for any lifting tasks with lower load cycles and sall load requireents. The winch can also be easily integrated into the given construction by the ounting holes provided on all sides of the gearbox casing. The wire can take off in any direction. It has a copact design, because the basic configuration only consists of gear, otor, and dru. The robust outward ipression of the ESF winch is copleted by practical corrosion protection and a cobination of high-quality finishing and galvanised parts. The ESF winch is short ter available. The use of vane type otors and inherently safe self-braking worgears ensures trouble-free operation and low aintenance. These winches find their use in general industry, oil and gas exploration, and in any places where copact, explosion-proof hoisting gear is required. The range includes two fast speed types, the LV 256 and LV 508, which also have optional carrying handles, and slower speed types up to 1700 of lifting capacity. The self-braking properties of the worgear drive cobined with closed ports is sufficient for alost all hoisting purposes. An additional brake ay be necessary for accurate positioning of a load. The hose reels are ainly used to reel hoses for fresh water supply, MDO (Marine Diesel Oil) fuel supply and hydraulic oil or to reel electrical power supply cables.
