Repeated exposure may cause premature aging of the skin and skin cancer. WEAR PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN SEVERE BURNS OR LONG TERM INJURY TO THE EYES. WARNING: Receive proper operation instructions from the proprietor. When using a machine with bench and canopy, pull the canopy down until it will move no futher. Recommended distance of the body from the canopy of this machine should be 6 inches. Operation of any sunbed closer than the recommended minimum distance for use may result in overexposure. Medications or Cosmetics: Some may increase your sensitivity to the ultraviolet radiation. Consult a physician before using sunlamps if you are using medications, have a history of skin problems, or believe yourself especially sensitive to sunlight. If you do not tan in the sun, you are unlikely to tan from the use of this product. Tanning may appear after one application provided that your skin is capable of developing a suntan. Allow 48 hours between sessions to obtain a base tan, and once or twice per week to maintain appearance. Recommended eyewear. Provided eye shields, such as Intrexco Nr: 563511s or equivalent eyewear as defined under 21CFR 1040.20 2(b)(6). One pair of protective eyewear is furnished with this equipment. Eyewear should be worn by all persons in the room when the lamps are on. ENSURE THAT THE SUNBED USED CONTAINS COMPATIBLE LAMPS TO THOSE LISTED HEREIN. ALL SUNBEDS HAVE LABELS STATING COM- PLIANCE WITH PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR SUN LAMP PRODUCTS UNDER 21 CFR PART 1040.20 BASIC INFORMATION ON THE TANNING PROCESS Melanin, the brownish pigment produced by special cells in the base layer of the skin, determines the individual s ability to tan. As the skin is exposed to ultraviolet rays, the melanin is activated and combines with protein cells that rise in the skins surface, thus producing a tan. The amount of melanin in your body determines how quickly and darkly you tan. The tan produced by the sunlamp is a cosmetic tan, however, regardless of how much an individual may tan with this unit, it will not provide adequate protection against overexposure to natural sunlight or UVB exposure. Use sunscreen outside to protect your skin. Please completely fill out this warranty card so that your warranty can be validated. OPERATING YOUR TANNING BED BEFORE using tanning bed, cycle the timer one full time to break in lamps and verify that the timer is counting down accurately. Motorized (analog) Timer Instructions The motorized timer will automatically turn the tanning bed on when turned passed the 0 mark. Turn knob to the desired number of minutes and the bed will automatically energize and count down. If your tanning bed came with a shorting plug, then it was designed to work with either the onboard timer, or with a remote timer for commercial use. (Remote timer is not included). Using a remote timer requires a special cord to replace the shorting plug on the back of the tanning bed, which then connects to the remote timer itself. If a remote timer is used, then the onboard timer will act as an ON / OFF switch. The timer will not count down, but will allow the bed to be turned on and off if the remote timer is set to the ON position and timing down as well. This is provided so that customers in the salon will always have the option to turn the bed off before the full session is complete. Additionally, the shorting plug can be used in the home environment to disable the tanning bed, and prevent unauthorized persons from using it. In this configuration, it works as a safety device. Simply twist the locking mechanism and remove the shorting plug to disable the tanning bed. This will not remove power to the tanning bed, but will disable the timer so that it can not be energized. To restore function, simply replace the shorting plug. The shorting plug can always be found on the back edge of the canopy of the tanning bed. Universal ballast diagram To remove the shock, you need to gently pry the metal clip back, but not off, then pull end off the ball. Final steps: Make sure the shorting plug is installed into the timer port on the back of the bed. (not shown) This is a safety lock feature, and the bed will not operate unless this is in place. Now plug the cord from the bench into the slot of the canopy, to provide power to both halves, then plug in the wall. Once the bed is fully assembled and plugged into the wall, be sure to run the bed one full cycle without actually tanning, to insure the timer is operating properly.

This next step takes two strong persons, as you connect the hinge bolt into the canopy of the bed, allowing it to swivel. NOTE: Be sure to follow the diagram exactly in respect to the washers! Once you have completed this step, you will then insert the back bar that says Shadow in between the two hinges using the four supplied bolts. After these steps are all complete, you will then tighten all the bolts in the hinges until the are snug. You don t need to over-tighten them. Installing your new SunMaster E Series tanning bed Start by assembling the leg kit. It will be in a large cardboard box, along with all the misc. hard ware. (Note: the triangle pieces shown are no longer included in the kit)

Next, you will roll the bench of the tanning bed (the half that does NOT have a timer) upside down, then attach the leg kit using 6 screws. Again, the triangle pieces shown here are no longer included. You do not need to overtighten these screws. Now turn the unit right side up, and place it in its final destination. It is easier to move now than with the full weight of the bed. Once you have have turned the bench right side up, you will attache the hinges to the bench. It is often helpful to leave the bolts slightly loose during the next few steps, to allow it to flex and the bolts and holes to line up easier.
