Section 1: Introduction Steer Your Own Course Meet the new Onward PTV, a personal transportation vehicle that you can configure to match your active lifestyle. Just add the features you need, whether you ll be transporting children, running errands, RVing, tailgating, or heading to the beach, tennis courts or golf course. Designed for residents of master planned communities and other areas that allow small four-wheeled vehicles, Onward helps families reconnect with each other and enjoy the open air. Rather than using off-the-shelf golf car parts, we designed a new suspension lift kit, versatile back seat and other parts and accessories just for Onward. The vehicles come standard with edgy new cowls, LED headlights, dual USB ports, comfort-grip steering wheels and more. Onward also features the industry s only rustproof corrosion-resistant aluminum frame that withstands even salty coastal environments. Best-in-class gasoline and electric powertrains deliver years of reliable service. What are Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTVs)? Unlike golf cars, PTVs are designed specifically for personal use and neighborhood transportation. They have a maximum speed of 20 mph, may be gasoline- or electric-powered, and can be driven on public roads as permitted by state and local laws for purposes unrelated to golf. To qualify as a personal transportation vehicle, it must meet the minimum requirements as listed under the American Nation Standards Institute (ANSI), #Z135. Section 1: Introduction 4
Section 2: Design You re in the Driver s Seat, Even During Design With a few quick decisions, you ll slide behind the wheel of one of six Onward models: Two- or four-passenger gasoline models. Two- or four-passenger electric models. Two-passenger electric Two-passenger gas Four-passenger lifted gasoline 0r electric models. Four-passenger vehicles come with a new fold-down rear seat that carries two additional passengers, so you won t have to leave anyone behind. The seat s plastic composite and rustproof aluminum construction makes it an ideal choice for all environments. A textured finish prevents cargo from slipping when the seat is converted into a cargo bed. For greater versatility, the seat accommodates a watertight well that serves as a cooler or dry storage, a two-bag golf attachment, under-seat storage and rear cup holders. Bump it Up a Notch Want a sportier four-passenger Onward? Our new automotive-style, double-a-arm lifted front suspension system for four-passenger vehicles makes that happen. It delivers a smooth and stable ride with: Four to five inches of ground clearance over non-lifted models, depending on tires. A two-inch wider track and two-inch longer wheelbase than competitive lift kits, improving stability and ride quality. The ability to accommodate tires up to 23 inches, including our new proprietary, all-terrain 23-inch Kraken tire for impressive ride quality and extremely low noise on paved roads. Exclusive front and rear fender flares contoured to keep water from splashing passengers. A stylish front brush guard that protects the front of the vehicle, creates an all-terrain look and accentuates the headlights. An exclusive Panhard rod that helps keep the axle under the vehicle and improves lateral support, and automotive-style Jounce bumpers that absorb impact and dampen noise and vibrations. (Both on gas models only.) The suspension delivers superior handling over other available lifted PTVs when evaluated using National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Society of Automotive Engineers test methods. Choose Your Seats, Tires and Wheels Choose standard spacious and comfortable seats in black, beige or white. Premium solid-color and two-tone seats are also available for added style and even greater comfort. You can also select from three tire sizes that match various conditions and vehicle styles. Made by Kenda for Club Car, these tires are constructed of premium compounds that improve durability and tread life and resist weather rot. Add bling with 10- or 14-inch Atlas or Mercury alloy wheels with machined accents and chrome center caps. Section 2: Design 6
Add Lifestyle Enhancements Onward accommodates a wide range of accessories that are designed, built and tested just for the vehicle. Unlike aftermarket parts, they ensure faultless fit and performance. Depending on the model you select, Onward accommodates the following exclusive accessories: Fold-down rear seat with watertight well that may be used as a cooler or dry storage. Attractive front grill inserts made of durable polycarbonate. Clear or tinted windshields with gasket that keeps wind out. Golf attachment. Others feature outdated overhead valve engines with electronic fuel injection (EFI). The Onward PTV features an automotive-style single-cylinder overhead cam engine with EFI. It delivers superior power, torque and hill-climbing ability, and uses up to 50% less fuel than some major competitors. Electric Onward PTVs feature smart chargers that issue alerts to prevent common user errors. The vehicles are also available with optional on-board chargers and reel retractors that allow for opportunity charging at any 110-volt outlet, something other PTVs don t offer.
