Toyota Genuine Tray features: Reflective Tape sold separately DROPSIDES Dropsides are manufactured using galvanised sheet steel or highstrength alloy, and are subjected to a lifetime of use simulation which is equal to lowering and raising the sides of the tray, approx. 14 times a day over 10 years. Dropside supports can also be added to maintain rigidity when the Tailgate is removed or in the lowered position. It allows for a prescribed flex which minimises its impact of stresses to the vehicle chassis. Testing has proven the rigidity of a welded tray places higher stress on the chassis which could result in cracking of the Tray or even worse, the vehicle chassis. Glass Reinforced Nylon Hinges are used because of their superior performance to Welded Steel Hinges. Successfully tested to 700kgs load, the Nylon Hinges absorb force and return to its original shape whereas Steel Hinges are rigid and can deform permanently.

Toyota understands the importance of tray body durability, which is why a bolted joint design is utilised to secure your load to the chassis FATIGUE RESISTANCE Fatigue is the weakening of a material caused by repeatedly applied loads. Aftermarket welded tray body designs may face significantly reduced fatigue life due to poor welding and corrosion, especially due to prolonged driving on corrugated roads. CORROSION RESISTANCE Toyota Genuine Tray Bodies use Nylon Hinges which avoid the paint damage and corrosion that is evident in traditional steel latch designs. The tray body itself is also subjected to stringent Toyota-specific salt spray testing to simulate years of exposure to corrosive elements.

All accessories sold separately. STEEL BULL BAR Toyota Genuine Steel Bull Bars are made of high-tensile steel and are both light and strong. An intensive 5-year development program before vehicle launch ensures that Toyota Genuine Bull Bars are fully integrated with the vehicle s SRS airbags and crash energy absorption system. Through detailed safety engineering, the Bull Bar is designed to be strong enough to withstand an animal strike, but not too rigid that it causes the airbags to deploy unnecessarily. Simulated and physical crash tests are undertaken to confirm the correct deployment of airbags and operation of vehicle safety systems. The Bull Bar is bolted directly to the chassis and is powder-coated black for corrosion protection. It includes mounts for CB antennae, Driving Lights and the Toyotaenhanced Warn Winch (each sold separately). Advanced technology was used during development to calculate and measure airflow rates leading to the creation of a smoother air path. Thorough testing for strength, durability and environmental factors ensure that the Toyota Genuine Snorkel measures up to the vehicle s rugged ambition. WINCH The Toyota-enhanced Warn Winch has faced significant development to meet Toyota s requirements, with components strengthened to safely carry significant electrical loads. All exposed electrical connections have Toyota approved water-proof connectors and components such as the Overload Interrupt (OLI) are designed to not only to protect the Winch, but also protect the vehicle electrical systems. Available in heavy duty steel or lightweight synthetic rope* variants, the Winch has 9,000lbs (4082kg) pulling power with high line speed for safe and effective vehicle recovery. SIDE RAILS Toyota Genuine Side Rails provide added body protection for driving in off-road and harsh conditions. The Side Rails have been subject to Toyota s stringent strength, durability and environmental testing for long-term performance and are rigorously tested to ensure correct deployment of airbags. Steel Bull Bar is required to fit Side Rails on LandCruiser 70 and HiLux. Heavy Duty Side Steps are also required to fit the Side Rails on HiLux. Accessories each sold separately. TRAY MATS The Rubber Tray Mat is designed to protect your cargo and your tray. With its rubbery surface, it improves to prevent cargo from sliding around when driving as well as protecting the base of the tray.
