With this elaborate concept, which allows the installation of any IT components, such as servers, hubs, routers, switches and their wiring both for desktops and towers as well as for 482.6 mm (19 ) formats, a central enclosure can become the junction for the connection of numerous work stations. All IT Enclosures consist of a basic frame with side panels, front glazed door and sheet steel rear wall, all of which can all be detached to guarantee free access for installation and maintenance. Swing handles with security locks prevent unauthorised access. There are two fans mounted in the roof plate (can be extended to four if required. PX Rack The sophisticated frame design enables doors to be mounted on all four sides of the PX Rack These network and server racks, specially developed for price-conscious customers, provide interesting additions to the standard IS-1 Rack range, thanks to their new frame design. In this range, SCHÄFER can offer the classical network rack solutions as well as server racks in depths of 800 and 1,000 mm and widths of 600 and 800 mm. The customer has the choice between extremely low-cost complete racks, which represent the basic, easy-to-use designs (with rear wall), or solutions including a rear door. Many of the complete racks can be delivered ex works. In addition to complete racks, fully customised configurations are also possible, providing the perfect basis for specific projects. The PX Rack also has the same important assembly benefits, such as the demountable frame, that make all SCHÄFER racks so outstanding. The major practical problem of accessibility is solved by the fact that the door can be very quickly removed once opened, allowing the side panels to be slid out forwards. To change the doors from left to right-hand opening, simply lift out the hinge pins and replace them in the fixings provided. Cable entry apertures with brush strips are fitted in the top and bottom panels and/or rear panel and can be replaced by flange plates on request. The side panels are passively ventilated. The NT Box is available in 18 different sizes. The integrated 482.6 mm (19 ) mounting angles can be installed either at the front or rear and are depth adjustable. III. NT Box Wall Cabinets, NT Mini Rack The development of the flat-pack version of the NT Box is SCHÄFER s response to the growing logistics and assembly demands of network technology. The base model consists of the SCHÄFER low-cost, modular, standard wall-mounted system with removable doors and side panels. The flat-pack NT Boxes are designed to have the lowest possible packaging volume, while keeping the required assembly work to a minimum. In only four steps, the complete distributor either on the ground or wall-mounted can be assembled by one person. Our standard range of accessories enables the Box to be extended as required. LOOPUS DX coolant-based server cabinet solution with side cooler Compressor Condenser Evaporator Expansion valve External cooler Side Cooler Compact, coolant-based side coolers are integrated into the rack rows, cooling either one individual rack or the cold aisle of a rack row. The heat transfer fluid (coolant R410A) is circulated in a cycle (see diagram above). Driven by a compressor, it absorbs thermal energy from the rear of the server and passes it on to the external cooler unit via an evaporator. The system is available as an open (Open LOOP) or closed air circuit (Closed LOOP) and suitable for use in smaller server rooms. Heat dissipation capacities of up to 20 kw are possible. The coolant-based cooling system (DX) is used when entire systems require effective cooling capacities of approx. < 50 kw. Access to the installations room must be possible at all times without disrupting operations. Elevated floor systems must comply with certain essential criteria: 1. Walkability 2. Accessibility 3. Air flow capacity 4. Cable routing As the grid dimensions of IT server racks normally deviate from standard elevated floor dimensions (600 x 600 mm), floor panels are often permanently blocked by the racks erected on them. Accessibility for cabling is no longer sufficiently guaranteed, the cooling air from the elevated floor can no longer be guided precisely to the places where it is needed. No modifications are possible during operation, the available free clearance has not been used to optimum effect.
