TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS COURSE SYLLABUS & CONTENT Course Title: BOEING 787 GENERAL FAMILIARISATION FOUNDATION Mechanical (Electrical Power / Airframe / Powerplant / Avionics) General Standard This syllabus has been compiled in the sequence, which will normally be used for instruction. However, it may be necessary to vary this sequence from time to time in order to suit particular course planning requirements. Aircraft visits will occur during the course ideally at the times stated but more reasonably as aircraft are available. All visits are recorded on MON/PROC/138 Form 11. The course is designed for aircraft maintenance engineers to meet the standard of knowledge required for approval and licensing purposes. The course is based on the Boeing technical training requirement for entry on to a Boeing 787 B1/B2 line and base maintenance course, that the students are given a Foundation in B787 systems. The initial entry standard for training is normally holders of the appropriate PART 66 B1/2 or BCAR Section L Aircraft Maintenance Licences. In any case the student should be capable of full comprehension of the technical content. The course content and levels are to Part-66 Appendix II. Course Objective To provide a General Foundation and understanding with an introduction to the new technology of the B787 aircraft and its systems. On completion of the course the student will have sufficient knowledge to enable him/her to satisfactorily gain entry to the Boeing 787 B1/B2 Part 147 type approval course, subject to all other EASA / UK CAA conditions and company requirements being satisfied. Course Duration 30 hrs (5 Days @ 6hrs per day) Reference Material Manufacturers training material, maintenance, overhaul and repair manuals relevant to type. Service Bulletins, modification and newsletters. Examinations Certification There are no examination requirements for this course. A certificate will be issued at the end of each course to each student who has satisfactorily completed the course. Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd. Page 1 of 15 FOUNDATION GEN FAM TNA 14/10/2011
