Page 3 DESCRIPTION The Johnson Controls York Taurus Commercial Ducted Split Air Conditioners offer a unique combination of advanced technology, versatility and ease of installation and operation. These units are available in top discharge configurations, as cool only, heat pump, and cool only with electric heat and heat pump with electric heat models. All capacities are rated according to the relevant ASHRAE Standards. All units are manufactured under strict quality control with full conformance to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 standards. All models are designed for satisfactory operation in the high ambient conditions of 52 C. With low noise levels and other unique features, these ducted split units are suitable for a variety of applications such as high rise apartment buildings, condominiums, offices, schools, commercial real estate, large indoor play areas and other similar applications. All units are designed with the convenience of the customer and the end user in mind and are factory assembled, tested, supplied internally wired and with refrigerant charge. All that is required at site is ducting, piping and connection to a power source and control. All the units are provided with time delay sequencers set at 145 seconds and 180 seconds. FEATURES - FAN COIL UNITS The indoor units are designed using latest fan coil technology and are highly efficient in performance. Units are available in horizontal or vertical air flow configurations and are suitable for floor mounting or for ceiling mounting. Size 216 to 300 are available only in horizontal air flow configuration and suitable for ceiling mounting. All fan coil units are factory leak tested, piped, internally wired and supplied with holding charge of refrigerant. The fan coil units are available in 380-400V / 3Ph / 60Hz voltage. The solid and rigid construction of powder coated metal cabinet ensures durable trouble free operation. The coil is made of seamless inner grooved copper tube and corrugated aluminum fins. A thermostatic expansion device provides efficient metering of the refrigerant, which improves overall system reliability and is easily accessible for routine maintenance. FEATURES - CONDENSING UNITS Condensing units are designed for operation with R407C. Outdoor units are suitable for mounting on the roof or on the ground. All units are factory assembled, piped, internally wired and fully charged with R407C refrigerant sufficient for 7.5 meter of refrigerant piping. These units are tested in accordance with ARI standards. All condensing units are designed for vertical air flow installations and are available in 380-400V / 3Ph / 60Hz power supply. All components are mounted in a weather resistant steel cabinet. The Cabinet and access panels are powder coated for lasting protection and durability. Compressors are fully hermetic scroll type designed for high efficiency and provided with standard controls & safety devices. All scroll compressors are provided with crankcase heaters, HP & LP Controls are provided for the safe operation of the compressor. Condenser coils are made of seamless inner grooved copper tube and aluminum corrugated fins mechanically bonded for maximum heat transfer. All coils are factory pressure tested at 450 psig. Condenser coils are designed to have minimum pressure drop for refrigerant flow to get the best output. Condenser fans are propeller type, direct drive draw through with vertical discharge. The fan guard is mounted to the panel. Units are supplied with a primary control voltage of 24 volts through a transformer. The control box is easily accessible and all units are provided with compressor lockout either by locking relays or by a high pressure control trip with manual reset switch This refrigerant circuit is designed for minimum pressure drop contributes to the efficiency of the system. The cabinet is lined with high density ½ fire retard fiberglass or rigid board insulation to prevent heat gain, improve the performance of unit and for quiet operation. Units are completely factory wired with single point power input provided with knockouts for utility, main power supply and control connections. Blower fans are belt drive centrifugal type, forward curve blade sized to meet system airflow and static. The Taurus commercial ducted air conditioners are available with the following options: Electric heaters. Anti corrosive coated fins for the condenser. Hydrophilic fins for the evaporator.
