Cold Weather Exercise Analysis PJM reviewed unit performance on 2/20/2015 and 1/19/2016 for: Units that performed CWE in 2014 only Units that performed CWE in 2015 only Units that performed CWE in both 2014 and 2015 Observations: Overall there was a large reduction in Forced Outages from 2/20/2016 to 1/19/2016 Difficult to draw any conclusions about testing effectiveness due to large differences in temperatures between winters 6

Cold Weather Exercise: Cold Weather Resource Preparation Next Steps PJM recommendation: continue Cold Weather Testing program for all units for winter 2016-17, except discontinue compensation for CP units Cold Weather Preparation Checklist: Review Manual M14D Att.
