C&I Energy Savings Program Benefits of energy efficient grocery and convenience stores Reduce energy and water costs Increase customer and employee comfort Enhance light and air quality Reduce maintenance and extend equipment life Contribute to a more sustainable future 6
Trade Ally Network The Trade Ally Network is available to assist with the technical needs of Pepco and Delmarva Power customers applying for incentives The network consists of program approved distributors, contractors and other service providers Customers are not required to use a listed program trade ally to participate in the program except for Commissioning and the Small Business Program
Grocery and Convenience Stores Whether you operate a supermarket, grocery store or convenience store, you know that refrigeration uses a lot of energy and that translates into high energy bills. For grocery stores and convenience markets, refrigeration energy costs can account for up to 60 percent of the total electricity consumption. Upgrading refrigeration equipment and controls can cost-effectively cut energy use by 30 percent or more. 1 Pepco has solutions to help increase the energy efficiency of grocery and convenience stores. 1 Source: ENERGY STAR

Current building codes or equipment performance comparisons will typically be used as the baseline Energy Savings Study Incentives Up to $1,000 for a Walk-Through Energy Assessment Up to $20,000 available for buildings of 25,000 square feet or larger and greater than 2 years old when measures are implemented Benchmarking with EPA s Portfolio Manager required
Multiple Measure-Type Bonus Earn a 10% BONUS INCENTIVE by installing multiple measure-types in the same facility When two or different measure-types are completed from this list: - Lighting Fixtures & Controls - Specialized Controls - HVAC, including chillers - Custom Measure - VFDs - Full Retro Commissioning - Commercial Refrigeration - Commercial Kitchen Equipment The 10% BONUS INCENTIVE is applied to the prescriptive measures The second project must be started within 6 months of completion of the first project The bonus incentive may not exceed the cost of the smallest qualifying projects
Small Business Program Eligibility Pepco and Delmarva Power s commercial and industrial customers in Maryland Small businesses, non-profits, faith based, or institutional customers that register a maximum monthly demand of 100 kw or less over the last twelve months in an existing building are eligible for this program Walk-Through Energy Assessment will be provided at no charge Once low cost and no cost measures are completed, customer is eligible to receive the enhanced incentives An approved Small Business Program trade ally must be used for the Walk-Through Energy Assessment and implementation
Small Business Program Walk-Through Energy Assessment that identifies energy-savings opportunities The assessment is performed at your convenience at no charge Approved Small Business Program trade ally will install up to $250.00 of recommended low cost measures Cash incentives that can greatly reduce the financial burden of installing new equipment Many incentives cover up to 80% of the program-estimated installed cost Experienced Trade Ally Network can perform the work, allowing you time to focus on other priorities
Small Business Program Standard measures - a pre-determined set of measures defined on a dollars-per-unit basis. Lighting measures: the incentive will be designed to be approximately 80%-90% of the Program-estimated installed cost for each measure. VFD and Refrigeration measures that cost less than $2,000: the incentive will be approximately 80%-90% of the Program-estimated installed cost. For more expensive VFD and Refrigeration measures, the incentive will cover 40%-50% of Program-estimated installed costs. Packaged HVAC incentives are approximately doubled from those offered to nonsmall business customers. Custom measures are eligible for incentives of $0.30 per kwh/yr saved. The incentives support up to 80% of the installed cost, and are offered on measures with payback periods of at least 6 months. Standard measure projects completed within two months, and custom projects completed within four months, are eligible for an additional 10% in incentives
