Robo Trex Automation System
grip the future
Automatically more efficiency The necessity of automated manufacturing Increasing competition, cost pressures and skills shortages are challenges which have resulted in the fact that many manufacturing companies increased the degree of automation in recent years. In order to increase machining hours and spindle run time, a reasonable degree of automation appears to be mandatory nowadays. Automation systems by LANG Technik cover every need from single part to large-scale production. Besides they can be retrofitted to almost any machining centre. An easy and uncomplicated operation and a quick amortisation make them appealing even to automation beginners and small sized companies. Reduce costs Increase productivity LANG Technik offers solutions to automatically (un-)load machine tools with vices. You increase machining hours and your output dramatically You relieve employees and upgrade their jobs at the same time You can produce almost manless Quickly amortised and well-invested Expansion of a one-shift operation: Maximisation of manufacturing capacities and modernisation of processes 8 hrs 16 One-shift operation, thereof 1 hour of downtime Downtimes 8 8 hrs + 8 Additional machine running time through automated manufacturing
The simple and cost-efficient entry in automation Grip the future with LANG Technik The LANG brand stands for influental solutions in the field of clamping, set up time optimisation and automation. Customers across the entire world trust our vast experience in metal cutting and manufacturing. A perfect, combined package of workholding, zero-point clamping and automation, along with our unrivaled stamping technology provides you with the necessary requirements to stay efficient and competitive. Workholding With various clamping ranges and jaw width, as well as jaw types compatible with each other, we offer numerous options to cover every clamping need. Zero-Point Clamping System The modular and versatile Quick Point system is the perfect solution to clamp vices, fixtures and parts with high precision and a minimum investment of time. Makro Grip Stamping Technology The patented stamping technology guarantees best accessibility and highest holding power for 5-face machining. It creates a defined form-closure effect between the vice's gripping teeth and the stamped part, resulting in the greatest possible process reliability.

Simple operation High flexibility Small footprint Technical requirements Free acknowledgeable M-function or standardised automation interface Loading via automatic side window or machine door Zero-point clamping pneumatically or mechanically (no medium inside machine tool required!) Almost any machine tool can be retrofitted with a LANG automation system Retrofitting done by machine tool manufacturer or LANG Technik
Robo Trex Automation System Patented vice storage system on automation trolley The Robo Trex automatic handling system operates the machining centre from an automation trolley, which serves as a storage medium for the vices. Depending on the part size, the trolley can store up to 42 vices. Robo Trex is optionally available with up to four trolleys, which means that the storage capacity can be increased to up to 168 vices. The heart of the system is the patented vertical positioning of the vices: it ensures maximum space utilisation and guarantees best accessibility. The external pre-loading of the automation trolleys allows Robo Trex Automation to be re-equipped within seconds. This ensures that no unnecessary downtimes of the machining center are caused. Technical data Storage capacity on trolley Max. storage capacity Max. part dimensions Max. weight of part Footprint 30 / 42 parts 120 / 168 parts 120 120 100 / 120 100 70 mm 12 kg from 1,70 2,20 m
Gradually more efficient Robo Trex applications Simple retrofit The Robo Trex automation system can be attached to existing machine tools. It communicates with the machine tool via one acknowledgeable M-function. Loading is done through the machine door or an integrated side window. External preliminary set External preliminary set of the automation trolleys, excellent maneuverability and an integrated entry system enable a fast loading of the Robo Trex automation by simple trolley exchange. Up to 4 trolleys can be used per Robo Trex system. Patented, edgewise vice storage The patented, edgewise mounting of the Makro Grip Robo ensures maximum utilisation of space. The perfect accessibility to the clamping device allows exchanging workpieces, without taking the vice out. The clamping of parts with excess witdh is also conceivable by occupancy of e.g. every other storage space.
Working manually Despite its small footprint the Robo Trex automation system provides the possibility of working manually without the robot / automation. An integrated door ensures access to the automation s inside space. By that the operator is able to exchange parts manually or measure them at any time. Easy operation The self-explanatory control via touch panel enables easy operation of the automation system, which reduces training costs to a minimum. With a one-click dialing the workshop trolleys can be easily selected or deselected. In addition, an allocation of individual NC programmes of the machine tool is possible. Mechanical or pneumatical vice delivery Depending on the machine tool configuration zero-point clamping is done either mechanically by the robot or pneumatically by the machine tool. The repeatability of the zero-point system is < 0.005 mm. Due to the low built, placed 5-axis tables (3+2) can be excellently automated. Makro Grip Robo & Stamping Technology Thanks to the stamping technology parts are clamped with low actuation forces, yet with highest holding power and process reliability. The compact built of the Makro Grip vices, which are equipped with lateral gripper grooves and a swarf/coolant drain, provides best accessibility for 5-face machining.
