Who We Are and What We Do Help customers save money and energy Cash incentives Technical services Whole-building solutions 2
Energy Efficiency Program Funding Program funding comes from Energy Efficiency Programs charge on customers monthly bills Based on kwh usage Currently in Program Year 9; new program year starts Jan. 1, 2018 3
Energy Efficiency Snapshot Since 2008, 65,000 northern Illinois businesses have participated in the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program, earning more than $350M in total business incentives. These businesses have reduced their electric usage by almost 12 million kwh, saving over $1.1 billion on their electric bills. Greenhouse gas emissions equivalents: These savings are equivalent to eliminating 7.4M metric tons of CO 2 emissions annually, or to removing over 1.5 million cars from the road. 4
Future Energy Jobs Act Increased funding and higher goals Addition of public sector to ComEd portfolio Rate of return on energy efficiency Switch from one-year savings to cumulative persistent annual savings Funding for innovation / pilots 5

Facility Assessments A Facility Assessment is a free, high-level, on-site facility assessment conducted by a ComEd engineer 8 Over the last three years, 1,600 Facility Assessments identified: 560 million kwh in energy savings $45 million in incentives 8
Technical Assessment Services (TAS) ComEd also offers more detailed technical assessments, conducted by Trade Allies, that apply to a specific type of building, system or process: Data Center Laboratory Healthcare Combined Heat & Power Process Efficiency 9
Standard Incentives Open to all commercial and industrial customers Offers cash incentives on a per unit (lamp, watt, horsepower) basis Covers common energy efficiency improvements to lighting, HVAC, refrigeration and other systems Projects require a Pre-Approval Application; wait for approval before starting project 10
Custom Incentives Cash incentives for complex energy efficiency projects not covered by standard incentives $0.07 per kwh for traditional custom application $0.06 per kwh for early commitment application 11
Data Center Offers Technical Assistance Services Service providers perform ASHRAE Level 2 audit Incentives Based on measured kwh savings $0.07 per kwh saved $0.06 per kwh early commitment $0.05 per kwh virtualization/it measures $0.05 per kwh for closet to colocation 12
Small Business Energy Savings Work performed by closed network of small business trade allies Free facility assessments and instant cash incentives for projects that reduce electricity in small businesses ( 100 kw) Typical measures include lighting, HVAC, envelope, controls, compressed air, refrigeration and commercial kitchen upgrades 13
HVAC Tune-up (AirCare Plus) Comprehensive energy efficiency tune-up program for ComEd commercial electric customers Trained contractors provide tune-up services to eligible customers Focus on system maintenance, thermostat control, economizer function and advanced measures 14
New Construction Service Can support building design projects if they are: New construction/major renovation Minimum 5,000 square feet Exceed current Illinois energy code requirements for two or more of these primary systems: envelope HVAC lighting qualified refrigeration Enroll early to capture maximum incentives!
