For faster and simpler replacement of the liners, SCHÄFER & URBACH has developed an innovative, fully hydraulic tensioning device. Valve cap tensioning device Re-tensioning of valve cap in a matter of seconds Valve caps must be re-tensioned from time to time. An innovative tensioning device developed by SCHÄFER & URBACH now speeds up and facilitates this operation.

New liner tensioning device Replacement of wear parts in a matter of seconds As liners in mud pumps are wear parts, they must be replaced from time to time. For faster and simpler replacement of the liners, SCHÄFER & URBACH has developed an innovative, fully hydraulic tensioning device. For mud pumps manufactured by: SCHÄFER & URBACH GardnerDenver Lewco National Wirth Technical description Hydraulic pressure of 210 is generated via a quick lock coupling. The pressure pre-stresses the expansion bolts at the piston ring surface until the liner can be inserted and the tension ring can be bolted manually. After the pressure has been released, the expansion bolts pull the liner tight against the pump body via the tension ring. For removing the liner a hydraulic pressure of 235 is needed in order to release the tension ring and the nuts so much that they can be removed and the liner be pulled out. Advantages So far unattained tensioning and release times of just a few minutes Simple construction comprising only very few components Fatigue-resisting tensioning, due to absence of springs

Valve cap tensioning device Re-tensioning of valve cap in a matter of seconds Valve caps must be re-tensioned from time to time. An innovative tensioning device developed by SCHÄFER & URBACH now speeds up and facilitates this operation. For mud pumps manufactured by: SCHÄFER & URBACH GardnerDenver Lewco National Wirth Technical description For tensioning and releasing the valve cap, oil is pressed into the gap between the tensioning cap and the piston via a quick lock coupling and a bore behind the coupling. This somewhat elongates the bolts. This elongation is compensated by turning the ring nut up against the tensioning cap. After releasing the oil pressure the system is tightly tensioned. For releasing the valve cap the ring nut is turned towards the valve cap. When the oil pressure is released, the nuts can be easily unscrewed.
