installation instructions basin and sink CAUTION - REVERSE THREAD FITTING OF FLEXIBLE HOSES INTO MIXER BODY 1. If the tap hole needs to be drilled out of bench or sink, drill a hole with size 33-35mm diameter. Note maximum bench thickness (Basin mixer: 30mm, sink mixer: 40mm, optional extension adds +30mm). 2. Place base sealing washer / O-ring on the base of tap body and press firmly. SEE IMAGE 1 3. Feed the flexible hoses through the hole in the basin/ sink, and position the tap on the basin/ sink. SEE IMAGE 1 Base sealing washer Ensure sealing washer sits flat between basin and base of mixer IMAGE 1 fixing plate fixing nuts Place fixing plate over screws and secure using Fixing nut 4. Align the angle and position of the spout and handle in relation to the basin/ sink. Ensure sealing washer is positioned flat between the basin/ sink surface and the mixer base. NOTE: For additional support for a sink mixer, the Supporting Plate (SLMS608) can be used between the underside of the sink and the fixing plate. E.g. for stainless steel sinks. SEE IMAGE 2 5. Place the Fixing Plate onto the Fixing Screws and put the Fixing Nuts on. Hand tighten the fixing nuts up to press the fixing plate against the underside of the basin. 6. Check the mixer position and alignment again and tighten the nuts up further to secure the mixer onto the basin/sink. Do not over-tighten. NOTE: NOTE: Do not use the handle to align mixer in centre position after tightening the fixing bolt nut. To align the tap, loosen fixing nuts first. If there is any gap in the tap base because of uneven basin/sink surfaces, apply a small bead of silicone sealant to seal the gap and to prevent water leaking through the tap hole. FITTING OF TEMPERATURE INDICATOR CLIPS (VEGA MODELS ONLY) 1. Select the correct coloured Temperature Indicator Clips for the specific application out of the 3 colours provided in the pack. The pack should contain 1 blue (cold water) indicator for the right hand side and 1 yellow (warm water)and 1 red (hot water) for the left hand side. 2. Push the two selected indicators together ensuring the leading edge of the left hand side indicator snaps tight within the right hand side one. SEE IMAGES 4 and 5. 3. Place the snap fit connector on the underside of the indicator clips onto the cylindrical lug which is centrally located inside the void in the back of the handle. Once connected, press down firmly so the back of the clips fit within the handle void. It is a firm fit so the clips are difficult to remove by vandals when installed. SEE IMAGES 6, 7 and 8 4. To remove the Temperature Indicator clips, first remove the lever handle (see instructions below) and using a flat head screw driver, lever them off from the underside of the handle against the end of the stem sleeve. IMAGE 4 IMAGE 5 IMAGE 6 IMAGE 7 IMAGE 8 IMAGE 9 IMAGE 10 IMAGE 11 IMAGE 12 IMAGE 13 DETACHING /ATTACHING LEVER HANDLE 1. Using a small flat screwdriver, pry off the temperature indicator cover being careful not to scratch the chrome finish on the handle. SEE IMAGE 10 2. Undo the locking screw and detach the lever handle by pulling it up off the cartridge stem. SEE IMAGE 11 3. Place the new handle over the cartridge stem and push down firmly. If using the extended lever handle, place the white plastic Stem Attachment sleeve over the cartridge stem first. Then place the extended handle over the white plastic stem attachment sleeve and press down firmly. SEE IMAGES 12 and 13 4. Secure the handle in place by using the locking screw to fix it to the cartridge stem. 8 Call 1300 369 273 www.enware.com.au

TEMPERATURE LIMITER ADJUSTMENT The temperature of the hot water can be limited by restricting the swing angle of the lever. This can be done without closing the water inlet to the Faucet. 1. Detach the lever handle and covering cap. 2. Detach the black retaining ring on cartridge with screwdriver. SEE IMAGE 14 3. Pull out the regulating shaft with its limiters. White limiter pins have been installed in the factory to numbers 0 and 10-11. SEE IMAGE 15 4. A shift of 1 point limits the lever s swing angle about 30. SEE IMAGE 16 5. To reduce the hot water limit, move the limiter pin facing the front towards increasing numbers, past 11. LIMITING THE FLOW RATE The flow rate of mixer can be mechanically adjusted by winding in Adjustment screw on the brass stem of the cartridge, which limits the travel of the lever handle. This process can be carried out without turning the water supply off, but note that it would be easier to take the handle off at the full open position. 1. Remove the mixer handle by firstly prying off the indicator button from the front of the handle. Use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew the handle locking screw and remove screw, and then handle. 2. Using a small flathead screwdriver, carefully lever the Covering Cap from under its inside edge and remove it from tap body. 3. Now that the cartridge spindle is exposed, locate the small adjusting screw near the bottom of the brass spindle. Use a small flat head screwdriver to turn the screw in to desired flow limit position. SEE IMAGE 17 4. Re-assemble the covering cap, handle and indicator button. REPLACING CARTRIDGE The cartridge is a non serviceable part. A new cartridge must be used if the existing cartridge is damaged. 1. Turn water supply off and turn mixer handle on to drain water from fitting as much as possible. 2. Remove the mixer handle by firstly prying off the indicator button from the front of the handle. Use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew the handle locking screw and remove screw, and then handle. SEE IMAGE 10, 11 (page 8) 3. Using a small flathead screwdriver, carefully lever the Covering Cap from under its inside edge and remove it from tap body. 4. Locate the Oras Cartridge Socket or suitable 38mm Socket wrench on the flats of the cartridge fixing nut, unscrew the fixing nut and remove. SEE IMAGES 36 and 37 5. Pull up vertically on the stem of the cartridge until the seal is released. Remove the cartridge from the mixer body. SEE IMAGE 38 6. Inspect & replace as per trouble shooting chart & spare parts list. IMAGE 36 IMAGE 37 REASSEMBLING 1. Firmly press the cartridge into the tap body. Ensure bottom seal of cartridge is positioned correctly and when the cartridge is located in the mixer body that the locating lugs align correctly. 2. Screw cartridge fixing nut into mixer body and tighten using the Cartridge key or 38mm socket wrench. 3. Push on the Covering Cap so the black clips secure it against the tap body. 4. Position lever handle onto the cartridge stem. With the screw in place tighten the screw to secure the lever handle. 5. Push in the indicator button. 6. Turn water on and test for leaks. For specific problems such as a leaking tap refer to the trouble shooting guide for instructions. Spare part kits should be on hand before any complete service of the tap is undertaken. CHANGING SPOUT SEALS When kitchen faucet is leaking below or above the spout sleeve, the spout seals need to be replaced. Use Enware part SLMS607 (X-sealing set - 2x spout lip seal rings & grease pack). This can be done without closing the water inlet to the faucet. SEE IMAGE 39 1. Detach the lever and the cap. 2. Detach upper collar ring and detach the spout. 3. Remove old seals, be careful not to damage the sealing grooves in the faucet body. 4. Dry up and clean the grooves in the body and spout sleeve carefully with abrasive cloth. SEE IMAGE 40 5 Lubricate the sealings and put them on the body. 6. Reassemble the faucet.
