COMMITMENT TO THE LOCATION FORD `Producing cars in Saarland for over four decades, Ford has become an engine of the Saarland economy. Together with the affiliated industrial park, the lead plant for the Ford Focus and C-MAX forms the biggest industrial complex in Saarland. One factor of success are our highly motivated and well-trained employees, among them a high percentage of skilled workers. In fall 2014, the Saarlouis Ford plant started the serial production of the new Focus. All in all, Ford has invested roughly 200 millions of euros for the launch of production of the new model in Saarlouis.
