TG6 series General ross flow fan units have become increasingly widely used due to theris compact size, low noise and reliable operation. The rotating blower creates an internal vortex which directs the air-flow through the guides at approx. 0 from the inlet (see fig. 1). The outgoing air flow is stable and welldistributed, making the cross flow fan quieter than any other type at the same flow rate. The compact size compared to centrifugal blowers makes the cross flow blower more easily installed in different product designs and ensures better distribution of the air flow. Notes on pplications Several components of the units are chosen according to the ambient conditions in which they are to operate. The two typical ambients are: a) igh temperature (max ) with low relative humidity and no condensation. b) igh relative humidity and relatively low tempaerature (max 80 ). It is therefore important to know the operating conditions of the product. The blower is normally installed with the motor shaft positioned horizontally, although vertical installation is possible, with the motor at the bottom and a special device which retains the blower on the motor shaft. Typical applications ir treatment: Forced air heating, fan heaters, air conditioners, fan convectors, heat conservers, heat accumulators, ventilated direct gas burners, air purifiers. ooling: omputers, power supply units, printers, office machines, electrical control panels. Ventilation: Smoke extractor, air curtains, room ventilators. Domestic appliances: Ovens, cookers, hobs, dryers, humidifiers. Operating principle of the cross flow fan Refrigerated displays and vending machines. TG6 series Special design requirements Special version can be made upon request, motors with special voltage requirements, dual voltage version (e.g. 1/2 V) or two-speed versions. ustom speed requirements can be developed on request. windings can be coated with resin for special working environments. range lectrical connections with flying leadsare offered as an alternative. The motor shaft can be made from stainless steel. The products can be supplied in accordance with UL and S requirements. Stampa 11/6 hoosing the correct model The correct model for the application be chosen from the range of variations specified. ach variation has a reference code for identification purposes. The code TG6 means a 60 mm diameter blower. The position of the motor with respect to the blower is shown in fig. 2. TG6 180 is a 180 mm long blower with the motor mounted on the right, seen from the outlet. TG6 180 means that the motor is mounted on the left. The motor stack height can be determined from the table below. The numbers is brackets refer to motor windings. The position of the motor and terminals is determined from the options shown in fig.. For example, TG6 180 (22) ID indicates a 60 mm diameter 180 mm long blower with a mm stack motor mounted as per sketch ID in fig.. s we have such a large range of blowers, some of which are custom produced, it is necessary to indicate the specific part number when ordering.
