Technician Training: Basic Hydraulics The Hydraulic Fundamentals course is a 4-day class that covers the fundamentals of hydraulics using the worldclass hydraulic training simulator built by Fluid Power Training Institute in Salt Lake City. Lessons learned on the simulator are applied to JLG equipment. This course is designed to provide the fundamental technical knowledge needed to maintain JLG equipment. Participants will learn to read hydraulic schematics, the purpose of various hydraulic components, and how hydraulic components and circuits work. Participants will spend about 50% of the classroom time on the simulators and JLG machines building hydraulic circuits, measuring pressures, and adjusting the hydraulic systems on JLG equipment. This blended program qualifies successful participants to teach the JLG MEWP Operator Training Program and the JLG Telehandler Operator Training program. The Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) and Telehandler BLENDED program consists of four weeks of online class work followed by a three-day classroom session in McConnellsburg, PA.
