Using the concept of sustainable development (purchase price, economic, social and environmental cost) choose which car is better to buy and justify your decision based on a quantitative procedure. For your analysis assume the following: (a) The current cost of gas is $0.85 per liter (b) Both car will last 10 years (c) Annual interest rate is 5% (d) The annual cost of greenhouse gas avoidance is $1200/tonne. (e) Maintenance cost is similar for the two cars except that the hybrid requires a $2,000 battery replacement every 160,000 km.
