From the likes of natural disasters such as Fukushima, or similar technological disasters caused by modern warfare, terrorism, technical breakdowns or simply by human error, the last three years has seen thousands of death, injuries and more than thousands of people evacuated from their homes, with more than a billion dollars of material damage. The increasing number of catastrophes over the past decade is due to rapid industrial expansion. Throughindustrial growth there are a growing 02 / DOK-ING MVF-5 number of asymmetric and unconventional terroristic attacks aimed at critical infrastructure as a method and a means of modern warfare. Industry and government are seeking new technologies and methods that are able to protect, secure and neutralize the threats that could trigger potential technological hazards. By integrating its own innovations and new technologies, DOKING develops and manufactures special purpose systems to protect human lives in the most dangerous of environments, primarily in demining, mining, crisis mitigation, and protection from non conventional and CBRNe threats. SAVING LIVES AND PROPERTY DOK-ING s MVF-5 system has been developed to assist first responders to get faster and safer access to operational areas. DOK-ING s Multifunctional Remote Controlled System is equipped with highly sophisticated surveillance and multi-purpose tools that include: functional sensors, (heat, explosive gases and oxygen) CBR detectors, several functional cameras for surveillance and reconnaissance tasks, tools for hazard removal, resource hauling and a firefighting tool kit. The gripper can also penetrate buildings, cut wires, and be used as the jaws of life. Cutting/Claw Tool Claw equipment in the form of shears is installed on the front of the vehicle which isdriven by hydraulic power. The tool is capable of cutting through obstacles with the maximum force of 18 kn. Hydraulic Winch mounted on the rear side of the vehicle with a rated pulling force of 7100 kg, and steel rope with alength of 25 m. Dozer Blade - The dozer blade can push up to 10 tons of weight. PROVEN PLATFORM The MVF-5 was built using proven technology that was designed to survive explosives (environment), fragmentation and other hazardous operations in the most demanding and destructive of environments. With its low center of gravity combined with its powerful engine and compact original structure, the MVF-5 entails excellent maneuverability. The MVF-5 is designed to overcome obstacles, to cross ditches and work in the most unfriendly of environments. WORLD CLASS COMPONENTS DOK-ING uses premium Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) components such as the Perkins engine, Swedish Hardox armored steel, Bosch-Rexroth hydraulics and Ziegler Fire Extinguishing Components to ensure maximum performance. To ensure situational awareness, DOK-ING incorporates world known products of sophisticated detection systems. REMOTE CONTROL The MVF-5 can be operated from safe distances of up to 1500 meters. GPS-INS (Global Position System - Inertial Navigation System) turns the current system into a robot ensuring the MVF-5 return to its original location, even if radio communication is lost. FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM The MVF-5 is equipped with a fire extinguishing system from Ziegler, manufactured in Germany. The industry leading components give the operator the capability to use water, foam, or a combination of both extinguishing liquids. The MVF-5 can spray 2000 liters of water or foam per minute. Tank capacity consists of 2200 liters of water and 500 liters of foam. The water monitor is fitted on a specially designed 3-level hydraulic arm which enables delivery of extinguishing resources in all desired directions. The MVF-5 is capable of connecting to multiple sources of water and foam. TRAINING & WORLDWIDE POST SALE SUPPORT After sales support is an integral part of DOK-ING s every day business. DOK-ING provides refresher training, technical seminars, technical advising, sales, maintenance and worldwide distribution of required spare parts. DOK-ING also provides sales consulation which has been a template to its already strong client base to ensure proficiency in mission requirements. 06 / DOK-ING MVF-5 VIDEO SYSTEM A sophisticated video system allows the operator to have full control of vehicle movement during operation. The video system consists of six high resolution and waterproof cameras. One of the cameras is thermal which allows the MVF-5 to operate during reduced visibility. The cameras are positioned on the water monitor, gripper attachment and other MVF-5 componentswhich allows the operator to control the machine and its performance during various operational modes. TRANSPORTATION COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTER The logistical and tactical Command and Control Center is used as support for MVF-5 in crisis mitigation and all the tasks executed by the multifunctional robotic system. The purpose of the Command and Control Center is to protect human lives and property in the most hazardous of environments known to rapid responder The Center is also complete with sophisticated equipment providing solutions for environmental monitoring and crisis control. MVF-5 can be transported by using a 20-ft sea container or a standard flat bed trailer. The MVF-5 system can also be transported within the C-130 Hercules or IL-76 Cargo planes by using its 4 eye-hook lifting points. DOK-ING MVF-5 / 07
