STOCK AND MODIFIED GARDEN TRACTOR PULLERS RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Entry fee is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members for each class you plan to run in. Please sign up as soon as you arrive. Registration will close 15 minutes prior to pull start time. At that time, numbers will be drawn at random to determine pulling order. 2. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES to be consumed by driver, flagman, sled operator, announcer, scale operator or measuring crew while on the track or performing their duties. 3. The only class jumping allowed will be up in the next appropriate class (ex: 10 Mod stock to 14 mod stock). Only one jump is allowed per tractor. All drivers of stock garden tractors must be at least 5 years of age and be able to handle their tractor at all times. Drivers of modified stock, open and 4 cylinder class tractors must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Any driver under 16 who wishes to pull anything bigger then stock must apply to the Board of Directors for an annual competition license. Applications are to be made one week prior to event and will require demonstration of their ability. 5. The Board of Directors has the right to disqualify anyone they feel that has had too much to drink or is operating a tractor in an unsafe or reckless manner. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. The offender will be disqualified with no refund of entry money. In the event of unsportsmanlike conduct a written warning will be issued (1 st offense). If a second offense occurs within the same year, suspension for a period of time deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors or loss of membership may occur. The Board of Directors also has the authority to terminate a pull due to extenuating or hazardous conditions. 6. A capable person must attend to the tractor at all times when the engine is running. Tractor speeds around the track and pit area are not to exceed 5 mph. Helmets are required. Long pants must be worn by all drivers in all classes. and if breakage occurs, no refund of the entry fee will be made for the class. No jerking of the chain at the starting line. All pullers must pull within 3 minutes of sled readiness or drop to the end of the class. Loss of anything, such as a weight on the track during a pull (green flag to red flag) will mean disqualification from the class. Test puller is exempt and may come back in 3 rd or last position. All weights must remain fully secured. All drivers must not leave their seats during the pull. All drivers must have at least one hand on the steering wheel at all times. A pull will be considered over when the forward motion of the sled stops and the flagman gives you the red flag, at which time the measurement is taken. The flagman s decision of the forward motion of the sled cannot be protested. Any part of the tractor, other than a weight boom going out of bounds is cause for disqualification. If any tire breaks the plane of the boundary, the tractor is considered out of bounds. 11. People assigned to the scale, sled operator, measuring crew and flagman must stay with that position for the entire class. Sled operator has the option to restart the class and reweigh the sled or lengthen or shorten the chain after the first two tractors. 12. The first puller is the test puller in each class. He/She has the option to re-pull in 3 rd or last spot, however, he/she will be giving up their first pull in doing so. Decision to re-pull must be made before the tractor leaves the track. 13.
