Operating the SiriusXM Radio Your audio system is capable of receiving SiriusXM Radio anywhere in the United States except Hawaii and Alaska. SiriusXM is a registered trademark of SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Inc. XM Radio relies on satellite signals to produce clear, high-quality digital reception. It offers over 170 channels in a variety of categories. SiriusXM also allows you to view channel and category selections in the display. Operating the SiriusXM Radio 1. Press the (Audio Power) button to turn the audio system on. XM RADIO 2. Select HOME and then select Audio on the screen. The audio control screen of the last selected source is displayed. 3. Select SOURCE and then select the XM radio. 4. Select VOL (Volume) to adjust the volume. Operating the SiriusXM Radio Audio Screen Control OPEN/ CLOSE TAB HOME Audio SOURCE XM icon Control the audio system through the navigation screen. OPERATION PANEL QE722120C PRESET TAB 1. Select the open/close tab on the operation panel to display the channel list and preset list. 2. Select Preset tab. Select and hold a preset key until a beep sounds to store the current station as a preset. QE722130C The following items are available: Scan: Scans for channels in the selected mode and plays a 10-second sample. Select Cancel to stop scanning and play the current selection. Category : Display and select an SiriusXM Radio category. Channel : Select the previous or next channel. You can also store the current station as a preset station by selecting and holding the preset key in the operation panel. Operating the SiriusXM Radio Audio Menu HOME Audio (in SiriusXM mode) MENU The following items are available: Select an item. QE722140C Scan: Scans for channels in the selected mode and plays a 10-second sample. Select Cancel to stop scanning and play the current selection. Save Preset: Stores the station into the preset memory. Change Source: Changes the audio source mode. Channel List: Displays the list of available channels. XM Tune Mode: Sets Channel Mode or Category Mode. Channel Mode: Scans to select all available channels. Category Mode: Scans to select a channel within a category (Jazz, Rock, Classic, etc.). SiriusXM Radio Display Messages Loading : SiriusXM is loading the audio or program information. Channel Off Air : The channel is not currently broadcasting. Signal may be blocked by mountains or large obstacles to the south. Signal weaker in these areas. Channel not Authorized : The encryption code is being updated. Channels 0 and 1 still work normally. No Signal : The signal is too weak in the current location. SATELLITE - - - - : The selected channel number either does not exist or is not part of your subscription, or this channel has no artist or title information at this time. Check Antenna : There is a problem with the SiriusXM antenna. Contact a dealer. GROUND REPEATER 8002020D The SiriusXM satellites are in orbit over the equator; therefore, objects south of the vehicle may cause interruptions to the satellite reception. To help compensate for this, ground-based repeaters are placed in major metropolitan areas. Satellite signals are more likely to be blocked by tall buildings and mountains the farther north you travel from the equator. Subscribing to SiriusXM Radio 1. Retrieve your radio ID before registering for subscription. To see the radio ID, select (channel) to select 000 channel. You can also select 000 channel from Channel List. Contact Information for SiriusXM Radio SiriusXM Radio at www.siriusxm.com, or (800) 852-9696. 2. Receiving SiriusXM Radio Select the SiriusXM icon and stay in this mode for about 30 minutes until the service is activated. Make sure your vehicle is in an open area with good reception. You may experience reception problems under the following circumstances: In a location with an obstruction to the south of your vehicle. In tunnels. On the lower level of a multi-tiered road.
