Adult Enrichment and Recreation Page 2 of 6 Mystery Quilt Class Architecture Tile Mystery The pattern of this quilt was designed from the street stonework tiles of an old town with history going back to the civil war. This mystery quilt promises to be easy enough for the beginners while igniting the spirit of competition in others. The outcome of the quilt is a mystery until the last steps of assembly. Quilters will meet the 1 st and 3 rd Thursday of the month at 7 pm in the High School Home Ec Room to get directions for the steps to complete before the next meeting. Even if you have never pulled back a bow, this is your chance to learn and enjoy this wonderful sport. Equipment will be provided for the lessons, but if you have your own bow and arrows, feel free to bring them to class. The instructors will help you set up your bow so you can shoot better. Sign up now for a fun family sport and enjoy yourself. Beaver Creek Archery Club has an active adult program including leagues and fun shoots year-round. Ages 16 and up. Teams will referee each other and help at the scorer s table. Those interested in participating should contact Community Ed. The league will run from late November through February or March depending on the number of teams and weather. The league fee will be $100.00 per team. Watch for specific times and dates in the Fulda Free Press and on the Fulda Area Community Ed Facebook Page. 55+ Defensive Driving Improve your driving skills in today s cars on today s roads. Minnesota State Law requires all insurance companies to give a 10% premium reduction on policies of private passenger vehicle insurance to anyone 55 years of age or older that have completed an accident prevention course such as this. After completing your 8-hour introductory course, you will need to complete a 4-hour refresher course every 3rd year to maintain your certificate. We no longer offer an 8 hour class. The next 4 hour refresher will be offered in the Spring of 2015. **Pre-Registration is required for all classes. There is a 15 person minimum that needs to be met in order to hold the Defensive Driving classes. Classes will be cancelled if not met.

Youth Activities & Fulda Community Garden Page 3 of 6 Fulda Community Garden In case you haven t heard, Fulda has a Community Garden and we need YOU or YOUR BUSINESS to take care of a plot!! This garden has been made possible by a grant that was given to the City of Fulda and is easily accessible. Any excess or any amount you chose as a plot owner, is to be donated to the Fulda Food Shelf per your contract. Plots are approximate 45 x 45. There is no fee to obtain a plot. You simply provide the seed, time and care of the plot. Youth Archery Come to the archery range and experience the excitement of hitting the bull's eye and popping balloons. The student will learn the basic skills of archery and have fun at the same time. You will be surprised to see how much you improve in four weeks. Please sign in each week and enjoy your walk. Both Open Gym and Hallway Walking Sundays - 1:00-4:00...4 th -12 th grade **ANYONE 3 rd grade or under MUST attend with an adult. Scuba Diving Are you interested in learning how to scuba dive? Whether it s for an upcoming winter vacation or just curiosity, there will be an opportunity for you to learn Saturday & Sunday, October 4-5. This is part 1 of the process and includes classroom and pool time. Upon completion you will have 1 year to complete part 2 which includes 4 open water dives. Combo Aerobics Aqua Aerobics uses both deep and shallow areas of the pool to give you a great medium/high-impact workout. Shannon will use a variety of class formats and equipment to help increase cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, tone and flexibility. Ages 13 and up are encouraged to give it a try.
