Invitation to the 6 th International ISO/IEC 15118 June 22-23, 2017 @ VEDECOM, Versailles, France Fellow PEV Charging Technology Community Members, We are very pleased to announce yet another follow-up testing event co-located with the next ISO/IEC 15118 JWG1 meeting in Versailles, France on June 22-23, 2017. The organizing committee of the ISO/IEC 15118 JWG therefore invites companies working in this area and their representatives to participate in this PEV charging communication protocol testing symposium. The 6 th Testing Symposium will be hosted by the VEDECOM. The focus of the event is on testing PEV and charging infrastructure communication protocol conformance as well as interoperability. Members of the PEV charging communication community are encouraged to participate in this testing event to strengthen cross-vendor interoperability of their ISO/IEC 15118-2/-3, SAE J2847/2, SAE J2931/1, SAE J2931/4, and DIN 70121 compliant vehicle ECUs and supply equipment controllers. The Testing Symposium will take place: When: 22-23 rd June 2017 Where (see also TRAVEL DIRECTIONS for further details): VEDECOM, 2 allée des Marronniers, 78 000 Versailles, France (GPS coordinates: 48 47'04.5"N; 2 06'01.2"E) Hosted by: As part of this event we provide testing opportunities for: EVs & EVSEs (with power flow) EV & EVSE Controllers (EVCC, SECC) / ECUs (w/o power flow) Round Robin testing will be conducted between suitable EV / EVSE / EVCC / SECC and test system couples provided by the Testing Symposium participants. The June 22-23 rd testing event at VEDECOM is expected to provide valuable feedback for all participants in the PEV charging communications community in support of developing ECUs as well as refining test cases, test procedures and test apparatus/software. Please join us at this event at VEDECOM and submit your application form in time.

APPLICATION INFORMATION: Application for this event is handled through our website: www.testing-symposium.net Registration is embedded in the Information section of the website and password-protected: Username: Testing-Symposium-Participant Password: TestingSymposium2017France!! Registration closes on 15 th of May 2017 (EOD, CET)!! For registration, please use your real name and email address. A verification mail will be sent to your email account providing access to the electronic Testing Symposium application form. You will be guided through a list of questions asking for details of your application (e.g. #participants, technical details (scope and capabilities) of the equipment that you plan to bring to the event, etc.). After answering all questions, please follow the instructions provided and submit the completed online form in order to finalize your application. After submission of the application form, you cannot update it anymore. However, before submitting you can save an intermediate version and complete it later by clicking on the "resume later" button. In case you need to update an already submitted application, please re-submit a new application form by accessing the link from the registration confirmation email again (In this case, please provide a comment at the end of the questionnaire that your previous application is obsolete). If you plan to bring multiple types of equipment or in case your test system supports multiple systems under test (SUT), e.g. EVCC / SECC / EV and EVSE, please submit one application form (survey) for each equipment or supported type of SUT by accessing the link from the registration confirmation email again. After 15 th of May 2017 no more changes and submissions can be made. The application form for this event also offers participants the opportunity to give feedback and tune the event to the capabilities of each participant s communication controller. For your convenience, you can print or save all your answers as PDF after submission of the application form. The available space for testing is limited. The organizing committee of the Testing Symposium therefore reserves the right to cancel completed applications for observers until 17 th of May 2017. Please consider this when planning your travel. All information in the survey is collected for organizational purposes only, in order to find suitable test couples and to define a round robin test schedule at the testing event. All participants are requested to sign a Confidentiality Agreement as part of the Sign-In procedure that will be provided before the Testing Symposium. We plan to organize an organizational conference call after registration (~end of May) to clarify open questions / issues between registered participants. We will invite to the conference calls through dedicated calendar invitations based on registration Email addresses.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Technical requirements / constraints for real EV and EVSE tests: For AC: Type 2 plugs and inlets according to SAE J1772 / IEC 62196-2. For DC: CCS Type 2 (Combo 2) plugs and inlets according to IEC 62196-3. Supply voltage is 400V (3-phase) at 50Hz with cable lug bus / bar type connection. EVSE suppliers must ensure before installation on-site, that the rated max. supply power (will be provided by the host upon installation) is not exceeded at any time. Technical requirements for communication controller-only tests: Control Pilot (CP) and Proximity (PP) circuit according to IEC61851-1 shall be provided. The expected physical connection for CP, GND and optionally PP is: o 4mm female banana plugs for EVCC o 4mm male banana plugs for SECC Supply voltage is 230V at 50Hz with CEE 7/16 (Type E/C) sockets/plugs. Previous testing events have shown that it is favorable if every company participates with at least one engineer who can change/flash their communication controller on-site. In case of any questions on technical or organizational issues, etc. please do not hesitate to contact us. If you bring heavy equipment to the Testing Symposium (e.g. Electric Vehicle or DC Fast Charger), please contact French Co-Organizer, Host and Logistics Partner for further information.
