Troubleshooting 4.0 The lift doesn't work. 1. Check that the emergency stop is not activated. 2. Check that the battery is charged. 3. Check that the hand control is correctly connected. 4. If the lift still does not work satisfactorily, contact Liko. The lift emits a repeated audible or LED signal. 1. Charge the battery immediately. 2. If the lift still does not work satisfactorily, contact Liko. The lift works only in the up direction. 1. Change the Electronic card, spare part no. 31390001. Make sure the diode at the Emergency stop switch, is assembled. The lift stops in elevated position. 1. Check that the emergency stop is not activated. 2. Check that the battery is charged. 3. Check that the hand control is correctly connected. 4. If the lift still does not work satisfactorily, contact Liko. You hear unusual sounds. Contact Liko. 7

(from S/N 6500505) 3. Remove the cable-shackle (A) from the battery. Detach the cables. Place the cable ties (B) (from S/N 6503239) at the new battery. red black brown 4. Fix the double-sided tape between the two existing. 5. Mount the new batteries and cables according to picture. 6. Put together the covers. Make sure the handle is in position. Start with fixing the screws closest to the lift strap. NOTE - Make sure the spare part is mounted according to the assembly instruction. - Check all functions related to the changed spare part. - Repairs and maintenance may only be performed by personnel authorized by Liko and using original Liko spare parts. - Old batteries are to be left at the nearest recycling station or given to personnel authorized by Liko. 11

(S/N up to 6500504 - go to pic.3) Disconnect contact to the Limiting switch. (from S/N 6500505) Disconnect the contact/contacts from batteries and limiting switch. 4. 5. (a) Remove the mechanical emergency lowering (a) and screws from the electronic card. Remove the locking washer with the special tool. (Part No. 21090026) 12

5.162.2 Note Electronic card is delivered with cables for version V2. (Multirall, S/N from 6500591) To use electronic card to version V1 (Multirall with S/N up to 6500590) remove the cables from the spare part and assemble the existing cables from the old electronic card according to description for version V1. Connect battery cable. Multirall with S/N up to 6500504: (d) Make sure the two plastic plates (d), are in place. Fasten the new electronic card. Tighten the screws and mount the locking ring. Mount the mechanical emergency lowering. Connect the plugs. 13

Secure the electronic card (e) and connect the limiting switch contact (f) and also the emergency stop switch (g). 5.162.4 Connect the black cable from electronic card to black battery pole. And the red emergency stop cable to the red pol at the battery. Fix the cables with the cable tie. Connect limiting switch: Orange cable to gold tin plate Blue cable to silver tin plate (h) (i) Pull the Squeeze protection keyboard through the hole in the casing, and connect inside the SSP Limit Switch with the black cable from the electronic card (i). Multirall all S/N: Put together the covers, make sure that the handles are in position. Start to fix the screws closest to the lift strap. NOTE - ESD protection is required. - With the emergency stop out, move the lifts trap all the way up against the SSP Limit switch. Check that the motor does not operate when touching the SSP Limit switch. - Make sure the spare part is mounted according to the assembly instruction. - Check all functions related to the changed spare part. - Repairs and maintenance may only be performed by personnel authorized by Liko and using original Liko spare parts. 15

Remove the coverhats and unfix the screws, pull apart the covers. 2. Disconnect contact to limiting switch. (from S/N 6500505) 3. Remove the locking screw from the shell. Drive back the lift strap a little so you can see that the drum is in line with the plate. 4. Pull the lift strap out. 5. For S/N up to 6500504, discard components as shown. 6. Mount the new lift strap. Reassemble the locking screw. 16

Put together the covers. Make sure the handle is in position. Start with fixing the screws closest to the lift strap. Tools required: NOTE - After changing lift strap the SSP Limit Switch must be tested by lifting maximum load all the way up to the highest position through the entire lifting range. - With the emergency stop out, move the liftstrap all the way up against the SSP Limit switch. Check that the motor does not operate when touching the SSP Limit switch. - Make sure the spare part is mounted according to the assembly instruction. - Check all functions related to the changed spare part. - Repairs and maintenance may only be performed by personnel authorized by Liko and using original Liko spare parts. 17

No. 21090026 From S/N 6500505: contact to battery 1. Remove the coverhats and unfix the screws, pull apart the covers. 2. Disconnect contact to the Limiting switch (from S/N 6500505). 3. Disconnect the contacts. (a) 4. Remove the mechanical emergency lowering (a) and screws from the electronic card. 5. Remove the locking ring with the special tool (prod. no. 21090026). 19

(two plugs, from S/N 6500505) Old cover New cover 8. Put together the covers. Make sure the handle is in position. Start with fixing the screws closest to the lift strap. 9. Write down the serial no. and Y/M on decal mounted at the new cover (see the old cover). Note! New style on Cover, prepared with hole for Limit switch. Multirall with S/N lower than 6502935 needs to be completed with spare part 31390008 Contact Lock Washer. NOTE - Make sure the spare part is mounted according to the assembly instruction. - Check all functions related to the changed spare part. - Repairs and maintenance may only be performed by personnel authorized by Liko and using original Liko spare parts. 20

Pos b) - in line with the cover on both sides. Pos c) - on each side of the electronic card. 4. Connect contact to limiting switch (from S/N 6500505). Put together the covers. Make sure the handles are in position. Start to fix the screws closest to the lift strap. NOTE After changing Battery Cushions the Limiting switch must be tested. NOTE - Make sure the spare part is mounted according to the assembly instruction. - Check all functions related to the changed spare part. - Repairs and maintenance may only be performed by personnel authorized by Liko and using original Liko spare parts. 21

Instructions for the check points 6.0 3 8 7 4 13 2 5 6 1 10 9 1 General inspection - Check front plastic cover for cracks. 2 Type/model identification decal - Check that the label with serial number and date of manufacture is in place. 3 Ensure that bolts are tightened on carriage - Verify that the carriages are secured to the motor. - Roll the carriage within the rail. Verify that each wheel turns freely and that the plastic wheel bearing covers not are cracked or missing. - Carriage with brake; If applicable, check that the carriage brake assembly tightens and holds. - If the carriage is equipped with a safety latch clip, make sure the clip is mounted and fall back. 4 Check the Emergency Stop function - Press in the emergency stop button. Verify that it holds and locks in the closed position. - With the Emergency Stop button pressed in, check that the motor does not operate when the hand control buttons are pressed. - Turn the red emergency button in the direction of the arrows. Verify that the button releases from the locked position into the raised, open position. 5 Check the hand control functions - With the emergency-stop out, press each button and check for corresponding lift operation. - Check cord for exposed wires or tears in the insulation sleeve. 6 Check the electrical Emergency lowering and raising functions - Test the electronic card electrical emergency lowering and emergency-raising switches by pressing the up and down arrows on the electronic card cover and checking the lift for corresponding operation. 7 Check the function of the Limiting switch - Check that the two mounting screws secure the micro switch e-card to the motor casing. - With the emergency stop out, use the hand control first to lower the strap and then to raise it. Instructions for the check points 6.0 8 Check the Lift Strap for visible damage - Using the hand control, lower the strap to its maximum extension. Inspect the lifts trap for frayed edges, heavy wrinkles or wear-through areas. - Verify that the Q-link is secure on strap. Slide plastic cover off the Q-link and visually inspect that the lift strap safety pin is seated securely in the middle recess of the Q-link. 9 Inspect the sling bar - Visually inspect the sling bar body to detect any scratches, sharp edges or deformities. - Make sure both safety latches are mounted and fall back against the body of the sling bar. 10 Inspect the TDM Hook function and safety latches - Verify that fasteners in red plastic covers are tight. - Inspect spring recoil. Manually press and lower the plastic covers and spring assembly away from the aluminium hook. Next, release the spring assembly and verify that the spring snaps back against the hook, providing a secure snap-fit lock. - Visually inspect the body to detect any scratches, sharp edges or deformities. - Verify that the o-ring is positioned in the centre bolt groove. - Check that the unit rotates freely on its bearings. Wipe off any dirt, dust or residue. - Make sure both safety latch clips are mounted and fall back against the body of the sling bar. - Verify that the sling bar fasteners are tight. 11 Check the charger function - With the emergency stop out, insert the hand control into the wall-mounted charger outlet (110-240V). Visually inspect that both diode lights on the charger unit light up. The batteries are fully charged after approximately 8 hours. When fully charged, batteries in good condition are sufficient for approximately 60 lift cycles. The charging starts automatically and the yellow light indicates that the batteries are charging. When the batteries are fully charged, the charger stops automatically and the yellow light shuts off. 12 Maximum load test (200kg / 440lbs) - With the emergency stop out, and the strap with the sling bar lowered, secure the weights. - Using the hand control, raise and lower the weights to maximum and minimum lift heights. - Listen for peculiar noises and vibrations. Note: If the low-battery alarm sounds during the lift, the battery must be recharged prior to load testing. If the low-battery alarm sounds during the lift with fully recharged batteries, the batteries must be replaced prior to performing the load test. 13 Mechanical lowering load test (200kg / 440lbs) - With the emergency stop out, and the strap with the slingbar lowered, secure the weights. - Using the hand control, raise the weights approximately 10-15 cm (4-6 inches). - Firmly apply increasing downward pressure on the red emergency-lowering button until the strap begins to slowly lower the weight to the floor. 14 Instructions / Instruction guide. - Make sure the Instruction guide is provided.
