SETUP & INSTALLATION The PRIMA Bathing System comes ready to use out of the box. There is no installation necessary. Consult mixing shampoo and operation sections of this manual to learn how to use. The PRIMA Bathing System can be placed just about anywhere. It is recommended that it be located near the bathing station for ease of filling the tank. The PRIMA Bathing System can be used in any 115v outlet, but it is recommended to be plugged into a GFI outlet for safety considerations. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Height: 18" Width: 24" Depth: 14" Voltage: 115v 1.5 amp If you need advise or technical assistance please call us at 1-866-889-0877 01

MIXING SHAMPOO NEW COPY AND CHARTS TO COME FROM JOHN. 02

OPERATION CONTROL PANEL Once you have your PRIMA plugged in and filled with water and shampoo, you will be ready to begin using it. (Refer to the mixing shampoo section, PAGE 2, to help figure out the dilution ratio and how to achieve it.) Remember that with the PRIMA Bathing System, you will be able to increase your dilution ratios. Experiment with your dilution ratios to achieve the desired results. Once warm water and shampoo have been added, thoroughly mix the shampoo solution by replacing the lid, turning the OUT valve to MIX SHAMPOO, the IN valve to MAIN TANK, and the on/off switch to ON. See fig 1. Fig 1 WARNING To avoid solution splashing out of the tank when the lid is off, do not turn the machine on with the OUT valve set at MIX SHAMPOO. Avoid contact with eyes. Always have lid on securely before mixing your shampoo solution. Fig 2 Let solution mix for three to five minutes before turning the OUT valve to the APPLY SHAMPOO position. See fig 2. The pump will not turn on until the trigger on the gun is opened. Hold the spray nozzle about 2-3 inches off the coat of the animal to maximize the effectiveness of the unit. See fig 3. The soap will foam when it is released from the gun and the pressure will push it directly to the skin of the animal lifting away dead skin cells, dirt and loose hair. Fig 3 The PRIMA Bathing System also allows you to spray under the belly and between the toes easily. Gently lather coat and rinse. 03

USING MORE THAN ONE SHAMPOO If you typically use more than one shampoo a day, you can easily switch between solutions with the PRIMA Bathing System. Mix the second solution you wish to apply in a seperate container. (Old shampoo bottles work perfectly for this.) Remove the secondary pickup line from the back of the tank (the one with the red attachment and strainer), drop the line into the bottle and switch the IN valve to the AUX TANK position. Make sure the OUT valve is in the APPLY SHAMPOO position before clearing the line of the existing shampoo. See fig 4. Fig 4 Turn IN valve to AUX TANK You are now ready to apply a different solution. This method may also be used to apply disinfectants to cages, trays, floors, bathing areas, and any other needed area. WARNING Do not place the OUT valve to the MIX SHAMPOO position and the IN valve to the AUX TANK postion at the same time. This will mix your secondary solution with the solution in the tank. Lock ON Lock OFF The secondary pickup line has a check valve and strainer attached to the end of the tube. The strainer keeps large particles from entering the pump. This will need to be cleaned as needed. The check valve closes when the pump stops in order to keep the fluid from running out the end of the tube. There is also a suction strainer on the inside of the tank that needs to be cleaned as needed. A good time to do this is before you fill the tank with water and shampoo. Fig 5 SPRAY GUN The spray gun used on this unit is lightweight and has a trigger lock on it. Squeeze the gun and push the lock forward of the gray flip lock to lock the trigger into the open position. To release the lock, simply pull back on the flip lock. See fig 5. DUAL GUN OPERATION (See page 7) The dual gun option allows you to spray from two stations at the same time without loosing any pressure. Included in the dual gun kit (See page 7) are new nozzles. It is necessary to replace the brown nozzle on the gun with the red nozzle in the kit for normal operation with two guns. To change the nozzle unscrew the nozzle cap at the spray end of the gun, replace nozzle and tighten. See fig 6. Fig 6 NOZZLE WITH CAP OFF 04

MAINTENANCE In order to keep your PRIMA Bathing System running for years to come there are some maintenance steps that will need to be performed at regular intervals. THE FILTRATION SYSTEM The PRIMA Bathing System now features an easy-clean double filtration system. There are 2 filters on the system. One located internally inside the tank, and the secnd located behind the lid on the top of the tank. The second filter has a clear cap that allows you to see when the filter is clogged. The filters should be checked and cleaned on a regular basis. We recommend checking and cleaning both filters each time you fill the tank with water. To clean the filters, follow the simple steps below. CLEANING THE FILTERS Remove lid and pull the internal filter out through the top. Wipe the surface of the filter to remove hair and dirt. Place the filter back into the tank. Clean the external filter located behind the lid. Turn the filter till the clear cap is facing up. IMPORTANT! Unscrew the clear cap and remove the filter screen. Run the filter under a faucet to remove the hair and dirt. Return the filter to its filter seat and screw on the clear cap. Turn the external filter back to its original position. 1. 2. 3. Keeping your lid on your PRIMA Bathing System will help keep dirt and hair out of the filters. Clean the filters everytime you change the water in the system. To protect your PRIMA Bathing System avoid placing it directly on the floor. The disinfectants used in cleaning are extremely corrosive and may damage and corrode your PRIMA Bathing System. To avoid excess damage, place your system on a counter, 2 x 4 s, milk crates or a cooler. 05

MAINTENANCE cont. ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE 1. Occasionally rinse the main tank our with clean water to clear shampoo buildup and hair. With the tank empty, place it in a tub or convenient rinsing tank. Remove the drain plug from the bottom side of the tank. Spray clean water inside the tank and let it drain out, rinsing away any hair and dirt. 2. At the end of the day, shut the power switch off and relieve the pressure on the system by depressing the trigger on the gun. 3. If you are having operational problems, consult the TROUBLESHOOTING (see page 9) section of this manual. 06

ACCESSORIES DUAL GUN KIT PART #50-0100 The dual gun kit allows you to add an extra bathing station to your existing PRIMA Bathing System without compromising pressure. This kit includes mounting hardware, a trigger spray gun, 20 ft. of tubing, 2 spray nozzles, curly spring tube, and necessary tube connector fittings. MOUNTING HARDWARE KIT PART #50-0104 The mounting hardware kit gives you more hardware for larger installations. This kit includes tubing hangers, connector hangers, panel ceiling hooks, sheetrock screws, and zip-ties. 07

CUSTOM INSTALLATION The PRIMA Bathing System comes ready to use out of the box. There is no installation necessary. Consult mixing shampoo and operation sections for this manual to learn how to use your PRIMA. TO LENGTHEN THE TUBING THAT IS ON THE UNIT IS QUITE SIMPLE. FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS LISTED BELOW. 1. Unscrew the fitting on the gun that is holding the tubing. See fig 7. 2. Remove the tubing from the fitting on the gun. 3. Locate 30 ft. length of tubing in the accessories box. 4. Attach the 30 ft. length of tubing to the end of the tubing that was removed from the gun. (There is a grey connector on the end that will fit onto the other piece of tubing.) See fig 8 & 8A. 5. Cut the tubing to desired length. 6. Insert the tubing into fitting on gun. See fig 9. 7. Tighten down the fitting. Fig 8 To insert tube into fitting Fig 7 Loosen nut on gun TO ADD THE DUAL GUN KIT TO YOUR SYSTEM FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW. 1. Follow steps 1-5 as meantioned above. 2. Take spring tube out of the box that has the tee on it and insert the tubing into one side of the tee. 3. Cut another piece of tubing to desired length and insert into opposite side of the tee. 4. Insert other side of tubing into the curly spring tube included with the unit. 5. Insert curly spring tube into the fitting on the gun. 6. Tighten fitting. 7. Fasten the tubing and curly spring tubes securely to the wall or ceiling using the hardware supplied. SEE FOLLOWING DIAGRAMS TO THE RIGHT FOR MORE INFORMATION. Please call (866) 889-0877 for help or advise on installation of the dual gun kit. Fig 9 Insert tube into gun Fig 8A To remove tube from fitting 08

TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM: Pump sounds funny. Low or lossing pressure. Low pressure. PROBLEM: Pump cycling on & off when gun is off. PROBLEM: Squeeze trigger and nothing comes out. PROBLEM: Pump will not turn on. No pressure. Leaking Water. SOLUTIONS: Clean the filter see the MAINTENANCE (See page 5) section of this manual. When completed, make sure the filter is resting on the bottom of the tank. Do not run your PRIMA Bathing System without the filter. Re-prime the pump: 1. Make sure the IN valve is pointing towards MAIN TANK. 2. Put the lid on tank. 3. Turn the OUT valve to the MIX SHAMPOO position. 4. Mix shampoo for 2-3 minutes. SOLUTIONS: 1. Check tank for fluid level make sure there is enough fluid in tank. Pump will run continuously if run dry. 2. Make sure on/off switch is turned off before you leave for the day. 3. There may be some hair stuck inside the pump and will need to be flushed out by removing the nozzle from the gun and spraying the solution into the tub for several minutes. This should allow enough water to flow through the pump and remove any debris stuck inside. If the system is run out of fluid, the pump will not turn itself off, you must turn the switch off manually. SOLUTIONS: Clean nozzle/lines, following these steps: 1. Remove nozzle from end of gun. 2. Squeeze the trigger to flush out the lines. 3. Inspect nozzle carefully and remove any foreign debris. 4. Replace nozzle. SOLUTIONS: Check electrical connections, following these steps: 1. Make sure unit is plugged into wall. 2. Check the circuit breaker panel. 3. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. 4. If unit is leaking water, unplug from wall and contact PRIMA Bathing Systems. 09
