Please read all rules carefully and completely: Pre-entry is free. Please mail all pre-entries to the Silver Dollar Speedway Office postmarked by May 20, 2015. All Entries received after May 20, 2015 will be $75.00 and accepted at the pit gate on May 25, 2015. Pre-registration is advised. Anyone wishing to enter the pits must be 18 years of age or older and must pay a $20.00 Pit Fee, and sign an insurance release form. Minors between 14 and 18 may complete a minors release form prior to May 25 to gain pit entry. Any or all entries may be refused at the discretion of derby officials prior to or during the event. Payouts will be done by check by mail. 1.) Only officials and derby drivers are allowed in the arena area before, during, and after the heats and main event. NO PIT CREW ALLOWED. 2.) NO PIT CREW OR FAMILY MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE ARENA AT ANY TIME. Pit crew and family members must stay in designated areas, pit area, or grandstands, and must not communicate with officials or drivers during the running of the events. 3.) THE DRIVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER PIT CREWS ACTIONS. One person affects the entire team. Violation of any/all rules can result in the driver and pit crew being banned from the area for the entire derby. 4.) All protests should be handled before the derby starts, between the derby drivers and officials ONLY. Any protest arising after the derby will be discussed by the DRIVERS AND OFFICIALS ONLY. 5.) No fighting allowed in the pit area or arena. No profanity or attack on any official will be allowed. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED and may be banned from participating in future destruction derbies on the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds. 6.) No weapons of any kind allowed on fairground property or in the pit area or the arena. 7.) STATE LAWS WILL BE ENFORCED: NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CAN BE BROUGHT INTO ANY FAIRGROUNDS OR HIGH SCHOOL GROUNDS. ALL VEHICLES WILL BE THOROUGHLY SEARCHED BY THE FAIR S SECURITY GUARDS AT THE GATE ENTRANCE INTO THE GROUNDS. If anyone in the pit area is caught with alcohol, drugs or under the influence you will lose your pit pass and will be escorted from the derby area. 8.) ANY DRIVER UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN THE DERBY. 9.) In the event a vehicle catches on fire, the official will sound the siren and red flag the event. The car that caught on fire cannot participate for the remainder of that event and the driver must exit the car at that time. The siren sound and a green flag will be used to restart the event. 10.) VEHICLES AND DRIVERS MUST BE SIGNED INTO THE PIT AREA (2) HOURS BEFORE THE DERBY STARTS. FINAL TECH INSPECTIONS MUST BE COMPLETED (2) HOURS BEFORE START TIME. NOT COMPLYING WITH THIS RULE MAY CAUSE YOU TO BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE EVENT. NO CARS WILL BE INSPECTED AFTER THE ALLOTTED TIME OR THE DERBY HAS STARTED (OFFICIALS DISCRETION). 11.) REPORT ALL INJURIES. All injuries MUST BE REPORTED to a derby official before you leave the derby area and/or the fairgrounds. 12.) Last car running is not necessarily the winner. The driver is judged on aggressiveness, performance and a scoring system by scorekeepers. OFFICIALS DECISION IS FINAL. 13.) Teaming drivers will be disqualified if any two drivers get together and make two or more consecutive hits on one car. 3

14.) All derby cars must be registered and in the pit area 2 hours prior to derby starting. 15.) All cars & debris (parts, etc.) must be removed the night of the derby. NO EXCEPTIONS! Failure to comply could result in withheld winnings or monetary fines. 16.) There will be no passing through gates from pit area to grandstands. Pit crew must stay on pit side of derby arena. 17.) Approved safety helmets are required and must be worn during the entire event. 18.) There is a (2) minute rule: If you do not hit or move within (2) minutes, you may be disqualified. 19.) PIT PASSES MUST BE WORN AND VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES. 20.) All drivers must be a licensed driver and at least 16 years of age. 2015 Vehicle Rules Full Size Vehicle ALL CARS WILL BE INSPECTED BEFORE THE DERBY BY TRACK OFFICIALS. THE HOOD AREA OF ALL CARS WILL BE OPEN FOR INSPECITON. ALL WINNING CARS WILL BE RE- TECHED PRIOR TO LEAVING THE ARENA AREA. NO PITMEN ARE ALLOWED IN THE ARENA AREA DURING RE-TECH OF WINNING CARS. DRIVERS CAN BE DISQUALIFED IF THEY HAVE NOT COMPLIED WITH THE DERBY RULES AND/OR THE OFFICIALS DECISION IN TECH INSPECTION. ANY CAR FOUND TO BE ILLEGAL WILL FORFEIT ALL WINNINGS. NO ADDITIONAL WELDING WILL BE ALLOWED ON ANY VEHICLE. 1.) Open to any U.S. hardtop model stock car, including station wagons. No Chrysler Imperials, Trucks, 4x4, Commercial Vehicles, El Caminos, Convertibles or New Perials. 2.) Cars which have run in other derbies may run, but must pass tech and safety inspection. 3.) All glass, chrome, mirrors, emblems, headlights, taillights, grills, and flammable material must be removed. Glass cannot be rolled down, it must be removed. Rear seat must be removed. This must be done before bringing the vehicle to the event. 4.) Doors must be chained and/or welded shut securely, driver door may be welded completely. Welds cannot exceed (1) foot on any side, and bottom of all doors. Example: (1) 12-inch weld, or (2) 6-inch welds with gap, (4) 3-inch welds with gap, per side and bottom. All chains on vehicle must be at least minimum ¼ chain or maximum ½ chain. CHAIN MAY NOT BE WELDED, BOLTED ONLY. No chain over 5 feet long. 5.) Safety bar may be welded or bolted behind driver s seat from side to side and inside the driver s door, side bracing must not exceed front windshield post to 18 behind driver s door. Safety bar, and cross bracing cannot exceed 10 in diameter. End plates no larger than 12 inches wide. 6.) Trunk lids may be chained, bolted, or welded. Maximum bolt 1 in diameter-maximum washer 3 in diameter, all washers no more than ¼ thick. Only (2) bolts allowed on trunk. Maximum not to exceed (4) chains and/or bolts per trunk. Total of four. Chains may go 4

around bumper and frame or both. TRUNKS MAY BE WELDED 12 ON EACH SEAM. IF TRUNK IS WELDED ONLY 2 CHAINS OR BOLTS ALLOWED ON TRUNK. 7.) Hoods: (6) chains or 4 bolts. Chains ¼ minimum, ½ maximum, maximum. 1 diameter bolts maximum, 6 in length, 3 washers, ¼ think. Bolt may be welded to 6 square maximum bracing. Bracing may be ¼ think. No (J) bolts, chains or bolts may be attached or secured to the frame or bumper. Chains may go around bumper and frame or both. No welding of chains to the hood or body of the vehicle. 8.) A spark arrester or air cleaner must be on carburetor. No oil type. It is also mandatory to have at least a 12 hole cut in the top of the hood, above the carburetor. 9.) Vertical bars are MANDATORY in windshield opening in front of driver. Minimum (1) bar. Maximum (3) bars. 10.) Bumpers must be stock automotive bumpers in stock position. Brackets may be welded to bumper and frame, no cutting bracket and welding extra piece somewhere else, no additional welding. Bumper brackets no longer than 14. NO BRACES WELDED OR ADDED TO BUMPER. BUMPER CANNOT BE WELDED TO BODY. Bumper tips and fender wells can be trimmed. NO REINFORCING WITH ADDED METAL. Homemade bumper brackets not to exceed 3 x14 x1/4. OFFICIALS DECISION IS FINAL. 11.) NO chains or U-bolts allowed around body to frame on any car. If chain is needed after a heat for repairs, it must be approved by officials before entering the derby arena. No Exceptions. 12.) Suspension. A arm may be bolted or welded to frame. Bottom of bumpers not to exceed 19 1/2. No additional bracing or welding allowed. No coil to leaf conversions. Only stock automobile shocks and springs, no extra leafs, no tape, or any welding on springs allowed. LEAF SPRINGS MUST BE STOCK LENGTH, (NO SHORTENING OF LEAF SPRINGS ALLOWED). No fabricated shackles. TWO LEAF SPRING CLAMPS PER SIDE OKAY. Official s decisions are final. 13.) NO trailer hitches. NO objects protruding outside of car. 14.) Gas tanks must be a safe container and made of steel (example: Jeep can, boat tank, etc.,) and be approved by the officials. Gas tanks must be securely placed and must be bolted or chained solid. Tanks must be capped and placed directly behind the driver. Stock gas tanks CANNOT BE USED and MUST BE REMOVED from the car. No electrical or pressure type fuel systems. EXCEPTION: Because of newer model cars equipped with fuel injection systems that have to run with electrical fuel pumps, an electrical kill switch must be added and placed where an official can turn it off. Drain holes must be in the floorboard for possible fuel spills near the gas tank. Unleaded pump gas only. 15.) Batteries should be moved to the inside of the vehicle and covered with an inner tube to protect the driver. Batteries must be securely bolted to the front passenger floorboard of the vehicle. No restriction on battery size. (Two-battery maximum). NO WOODEN BOXES OR PLASTIC MILK CRATES MAY BE USED TO HOUSE BATTERIES. NO PLUMBERS TAPE ALLOWED. NO BOXES BOLTED TO THE FRAME. 16.) Radiator must be stock automotive and in original stock position. NO ADDITIONAL SUPPORTS OR MOUNTS, ONLY WIRE OR PLASTIC TIES MAY BE ADDED. NO water inside vehicle. NO anti-freeze allowed! NO HOMEMADE RADIATORS. 17.) Firewall must be stock with no large holes. Please cover them up before you arrive. NOTE: 12x12 hole may be cut in firewall for distributor clearance ONLY! 5

18.) NO truck third members. NO REINFORCED REAR ENDS. 19.) Safety belts are required. Seatbelts must remain buckled during entire event. 20.) Body to frame hardware and bushings must be OEM stock. Frames must be in OEM condition on any/all vehicles. ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGING OF BODY BOLTS OR WASHERS ALLOWED! * No extra welding on frame * *** OEM means: Original Equipment of Manufacture. 21.) 15 maximum tire size. AIR ONLY. Heavy Mud grips are NOT allowed on drive tires. 8 ply maximum. NO grooved, double, farm tires, or forklift tires. 22.) Sliding drivelines allowed, approved engine cradles allowed. 23.) Car numbers must be 18 on both sides and on top of the car. Cars must have 18 x 18 sign on top for numbers so scorekeeper can score points. Use contrasting paint from color of car, so number is visible and readable to officials and announcers. First registered car number will get that number. No X or letter may be used. NO PROFANITY ON CAR! 24.) Frames, bumpers, etc. may be cut or drilled before or after derby at the official s discretion. Drivers must comply or will forfeit any and all winnings! 25.) There will be no building of cars in pit or derby area. Please do them at home! 26.) ALL CARS MUST TECH TO THE RULES PREVIOUSLY RAN CARS INCLUDED. NO BAND-AIDES on bent or torn frames. NO EXCEPTIONS! ** NO WELDING OF FRAME SEAMS AT ALL!! NO EXCEPTIONS! 27.) ALL VEHICLES MUST TECH TO RULES (Previously ran vehicles included!) Note: In the event there are less than (10) vehicles to participate in the Full Size event, the officials reserve the right to change the format and total purse for that derby event. VEHICLE OPTIONS (The following options may be used on derby vehicles) 1. Floor shifter. 2. Locked rear ends. 3. Radiator fans. 4. Springs may have (2) clamps per side, ¼: in thickness and not over 1 ½ in width. (2) Bolts per clamp. 5. Hand throttle. 6. Transmission coolers may be placed inside vehicle, but must be covered. 7. Only (1) automotive A/C radiator allowed. 8. Mud screen allowed. 9. Exhaust may be diverted through the hood. 10. Padding of driver s door is recommended. 11. Goggles, gloves, and long sleeve shirts are recommended for drivers. 12. Oil filter must be in stock position. 6

TRACK OFFICIALS WILL INSPECT ALL CARS BEFORE THE DERBY. THE TRUNK AND HOOD AREA OF ALL CARS WILL BE OPENED FOR INSPECTION. ALL WINNING CARS WILL BE RE-TECHED PRIOR TO LEAVING THE ARENA. NO PITMAN IS ALLOWED IN THE ARENA AREA DURING RE-TECH OF WINNING CARS. DRIVERS CAN BE DISQUALIFIED IF THEY DO NOT COMPLY WITH DERBY RULES AND/OR THE OFFICIALS DECISION DURING THE TECH INSPECTION. ANY CAR FOUND TO BE ILLEGAL, WILL FORFEIT ALL WINNINGS FOR THAT NIGHT. NO ADDITIONAL WELDING WILL BE ALLOWED ON ANY VEHICLE. OFFICIAL S DECISIONS ARE FINAL. NO EXCEPTIONS! 1. 102 (inch) WHEEL BASE OR SMALLER VEHICLE ONLY (102 is measured from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel) 2. NO MID-SIZE VEHICLE 3. 4 or 6 CYLINDER ENGINE ONLY 4. No 4-wheel drive or all wheel drives. No pickups or Sport Utility Vehicles (Front or Rear wheel drive cars OK) 5. Doors may have a 12 weld on each seam or chains. All chain must be at least ¼ minimum- ½ maximum. 2 chains per door and 4 on hood. Hood may have four 1 bolts instead of chain. Chain may not be welded. BOLTED ONLY. Drivers door may be welded solid. 6. Brace behind driver s seat is MANDATORY from side to side. (Drivers door to passenger door brace may be maximum of 10 (inches) in diameter.) 7. Vehicles which have run other derbies may not run if officials rule the car is too bent up. 8. All glass, side chrome and flammable material must be removed. Glass cannot be rolled down, it must be removed. Rear seat must be removed. This must be done before bringing the vehicle to the event. 9. A spark arrester or air cleaner must be on the carburetor. No oil type. It is also MANDATORY to have at least a 10 (inch) hole cut in the top of the hood above the carburetor. 10. VERTICLE BAR IS MANDATORY IN WINDSHIELD OPENING, IN FRONT OF DRIVER. Maximum of 2 BARS ONLY! Welded to the cowl of the roof. 11. NO adding weight to the vehicle at all, such as packing the trunk, doors, etc. 12. If your car is rolled on its side or roof during the derby and is pushed back over by another car, you may continue to race, however, NO person shall enter the arena to push your car over. An official may also disqualify it from the race if it is not considered safe to continue for any reason they see fit. 13. There will be no building of vehicles in pit or derby area. (Please do them at home!) 14. All vehicles must exhibit the ability to stop before entering the derby arena. 15. NO chains or U-bolts allowed around body to frame on any vehicle. If chain is needed after heat for repairs, officials must OK it before entering arena. No Exceptions! 16. NO RIGID SUSPENSION. No coil to leaf conversions. Only stock automobile shock and springs. No pipe ON front or rear of vehicle to be used as shocks. No extra leafs; tape or any welding on springs allowed. ONLY STOCK AUTOMOTIVE SHACKLES WILL BE ALLOWED. LEAF SPRINGS MUST BE STOCK LENGTH. NO SHORTENING OF LEAF springs allowed. No bolting A arms to frame to raise car. Officials decisions are final. 17. NO TRAILER HITCHES. NO OBJECTS PROTRUDING OUTSIDE IF THE VEHICLE. 7

Drain holes must be in the floorboard for possible fuel spills near the gas tank. 19. Batteries should be moved to the inside of the vehicle and covered with an inner tube to protect the driver. Batteries must be securely bolted to the front passenger floorboard of the vehicle. No restriction on battery size. (Two-battery maximum). NO WOODEN BOXES OR PLASTIC MILK CRATES MAY BE USED TO HOUSE BATTERIES. NO PLUMBERS TAPE ALLOWED. 20. Body to frame hardware and bushings must be OEM stock. Frames must be in OEM condition on any/all vehicles. *** OEM means: Original Equipment of Manufacture. 21. Radiator must be stock automotive and in original stock position. NO ADDITIONAL SUPPORTS OR MOUNTS, ONLY WIRE OR PLASTIC TIES MAY BE ADDED. NO water inside vehicle. 22. Firewall must be stock with NO LARGE HOLES. Cover them up! 23. Approved safety helmets and seat belts are required and must be worn during the entire event. 24. ALL STATION WAGONS SPARE TIRE COMPARTMENT LID AND ALL SEATS, EXCEPT FRONT SEAT, MUST BE REMOVED. 25. Car numbers must be 18 on both sides and on top of the car. Cars must have 18 x 18 sign on top for numbers so scorekeeper can score points. Use contrasting paint from color of car, so number is visible and readable to officials and announcers. First registered car number will get that number. No X or letter may be used. NO PROFANITY ON CAR! 26. Frames, bumpers, etc. may be cut or drilled before or after derby at the official s discretion. Drivers must comply or will forfeit any and all winnings! 27. 15 maximum tire size. No double tires. AIR ONLY. No mud grips on drive tires. 8 ply tire maximum. No forklift tires. 28.
