The V4 1100 engine features the exclusive 65 V4 architecture of the SBK World Campion racing machines. The 1100cc displacement is obtained with an increased bore (81 x 52.3 mm). TONS OF POWER With 175 HP maximum power at 11,000 rpm and an astonishing maximum torque of 121 Nm, this bike eats up the road. Because of Euro4 homologation, torque output lost a bit of strenght at mid revs, but still maintaining same peak performances as the previous version, also gaining +500 rpm wider extension range THE ONLY ONE WITH A V4 ENGINE An engine with noble origins, heir to the V4 that won 7 World SBK titles.the 65 V engine architecture makes it an extremely compact and well balanced bike. ENGINE REDUCED VIBRATION Vibrations mitigated by a balancing countershaft. VEHICLE BENCHMARK CHASSIS ALUMINIUM FRAME AND SWINGARM An hallmark, the Tuono V4 s aluminium frame is a work of art on display that hides the secrets of a benchmark chassis. Pressed and cast sheet elements lend the frame optimised torsional and flexional rigidity for perfect feeling and control and to allow the rider to handle the engine s incredible power: the reference point in terms of handling, stability at high speeds and pure grit. The aluminium frame and swingarm reduce weight while providing the necessary stiffness to transfer all the power of the 65 V4 engine to the ground. The frame weighs as little as 10.5 kg, the swingarm only 5.1 kg. The resulting contained moving masses enhance the bike s responsiveness and sensitivity to adjustments to the suspension settings. 19

VEHICLE RIDING ACCURACY NEW OHLINS NIX fork (only for FACTORY version one-by-one adjustable SACHS USD fork for RR version), saves weight (-800g) and gives the bike stable damping characteristics while ensuring great comfort, which contributes to rider confidence. Like on the most powerful supersport bikes, the fork allows precision adjustment for hydraulic compression, rebound damping and spring preload.for optimal feedback from the road at all times. STEERING DAMPER Ohlins adjustable (only for FACTORY version not adjustable SACHS damper for RR version) ensures great stability at high speeds. Millimetre precision in setting the bike up for turns. FULLY ADJUSTABLE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER OHLINS (Sachs for RR version) with piggy back adjustable in spring preload, rebound and extension. Wheel travel is 130 mm.to tailor the setup to different riding styles and to achieve maximum results even on the track. 20

TOP BRAKING PERFORMANCES NEW BREMBO BRAKE SYSTEM The Brembo M50 monoblock radial front brake calipers, ensure maximum power and high resistance to fading. The NEW Double Ø330 mm steel floating disc with low profile aluminium rotor and asymmetric cross-drilling make for the most powerful braking. The front radial master cylinder, combined with the NEW black steel front and rear brake lines, to maximise braking feeling. A Brembo two-piston caliper bites a 220 mm stainless steel rear brake disc. The master cylinder has a built-in reservoir. The result is optimal feeling even under hard braking. 21

RACING DERIVED SOLUTIONS MOULDED FUEL TANK The sides are recessed for improved ergonomics and to afford a better grip on the bike when banking. Intuitive feel right from the first lap. NEW DUAL COMPOUND TYRES (for RR version) To improve road-riding performance, ensure higher mileage and improve safety on bad asphalt, Tuono 1100 RR MY17 is equipped with new 120/70 190/55 dual blend tyres (Pirelli Diablo Rosso III). Tuono 1100 Factory MY17 is still equipped with more track oriented tyres (Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa) and a 200/55 dual blend on the rear, for those who want to achieve the best possible performance. 22

ERGONOMICS ERGONOMICS The ergonomic triangle of the Tuono V4 guarantees the best possible control of the front end without tiring out the rider thanks to the lower footpegs with respect to the RSV4, the lower saddle and the high handlebar. This makes the bike even easier to ride and push faster into turns, while preserving maximum effectiveness. Tuono V4 RSV4 COMPACT DIMENSIONS AND ESSENTIAL DESIGN The compact size of the engine and the lack of superfluous parts make the bike extremely compact and light, easy to ride into turns, yet accurate and stable at higher speeds. Essential design also means attention to detail and superior finish quality which are the hallmarks of Italian design even on the Tuono. 23

TRUE STREETFIGHTER DESIGN FAMILY FEELING WITH RSV4 The Tuono V4 strongly resembles the RSV4, but the shape is entirely different: aggressive top fairing, fairing stripped away and a more comfortable - yet likewise race-like - tail section. The aerodynamic new top fairing tipped with three headlights and a LED daylight running light gives the bike the unequivocally mean, daunting stare that you d expect from a motorcycle with incredible horsepower. PRECISION AND STABILITY The fixed top fairing was a specific technical decision to provide the appropriate aerodynamic load at the front end to give the rider a good feel for the bike and keep it stable at high speeds. It also offers a fair aerodynamic protection for the rider. PREMIUM FINISHING The unique construction technology allows both the frame and the swingarm to proudly flaunt the naturally gleaming colour of aluminium, meaning that the bike even looks like a race prototype. ELECTRONICS Tuono s engine/vehicle control electronics, already state of the art on the 1100cc model, underwent further refinement to make the performance of MY17 even better. The changes involved: - NEW fully integrated RbW twistgrip and RbW mapping update - NEW multimap CORNERING ABS - Updating the patented APRC system: - EVOLVED ATC setting - NEW AWC control strategy, more precise, thanks to the new inertial platform positioning - REFINED ALC, thanks to the new inertial platform positioning - NEW AQS ( Quick Shift) with electronically controlled UP/DOWN shifting - NEW Cruise Control functionality - NEW PIT Limiter functionality - NEW handlebar control switches that now allow to set both ATC and AWC while riding - NEW full colour 4.3 TFT dashboard - NEW Infotainment System package (available as an accessory with the PMP Multimedia Platform) 26

engine maps NEW RBW TWISTGRIP: no more push/pull cables and fully integrated, compact and light (-590 g) design. 3 MAPS (SPORT, TRACK, RACE) The three engine maps, all Full Power, are capable of changing the «personality» of the bike and can even be changed while riding, by pressing the engine start button with the throttle closed. The engine map features on the V4 1000 include: - Different engine brake settings depending on the gear engaged and the selected engine map - A more «free» engine brake at high revs (> 6,000) especially in track use - Absence of the ON/OFF when opening the throttle - Improved rideability in any condition of use for all 3 maps S SPORT T TRACK R RACE Prompt throttle response, sensible engine braking. NEW MULTIMAP CORNERING ABS Tuono V4 1100 MY17 features a completely revamped ABS system, based on the NEW BOSCH 9.1 MP control unit, characterised by small size and extreme light weight. It s a modern two-channel antilock system, that provides the following advantages: - improved stability - improved deceleration without locking the wheels - reduced braking distance in critical situations The greatest innovation, compared to the previous MY16 bike, is the introduction of the CORNERING functionality. The system is now able to recognise when the rider is braking hard while leaning into a bend, preventing the wheels from locking also in this critical situation. This allows the rider to keep total control of the bike in any panic stop condition. 28

NEW MULTIMAP CORNERING ABS The system has been skilfully developed and calibrated based on indications from engineers in order to provide not only maximum safety on the road, but also the best performance on the track. The rider can still select between 3 ABS maps to better suit the system responsiveness to the current riding conditions (1 = track, 2 = road, 3 = wet), always with the goal of maximising braking effectiveness. Now ABS MAP2 has become also suitable for amateur track riding. The ABS system can also be disabled by the rider, still keeping all the rest of the electronic controls of the bike active. NEW for MY17 is also the ABS deactivation strategy. If disabled by the rider, the system will automatically be reactivated after every key OFF/ON. A better attention to safety.permanent deactivation of the ABS system will still be possible for RACE USE ONLY (need to install the RACE engine ECU/MAP) 29

THE RLM STRATEGY 2 - NEW MULTIMAP CORNERING ABS RLM (Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation) is the ABS strategy that limits lifting of the rear wheel during the most energetic braking. NEW DASBOARD - ROAD The NEW full colour 4.3 TFT dashboard improves the technological feel of the bike and has been designed to display in the best way all the most useful information to the rider. Display view can be set by the rider either in ROAD or RACE mode. Each mode has both DAY and NIGHT view, with different background and dedicated item colour palette. In ROAD view, the main portion of the display shows speed and an equally scaled RPM meter. DAY NIGHT ROAD 34

NEW DASBOARD RACE & INFO In RACE view, the main portion of the display shows current lap time and number and a racing RPM meter, with a larger section dedicated to higher engine revs. Also best lap time and current speed are displayed, with smaller characters. Both ROAD and RACE views will display all the information regarding the infotainment system, such as incoming calls and music track. DAY NIGHT RACE INFOTAINMENT *needs PMP accessory to be installed 35

NEW HANDLEBAR CONTROLS A completely redesigned left handlebar control has been introduced to allow the rider to better select and set all the electronic aids available on the bike. NEW CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTIONALITY s MY17 V4 new electronic package features a full electronic cruise control for maximum comfort on long highway rides. A system able to maintain the speed selected by the driver. The system can be activated or deactivated by the rider with a long press on the central selector. The system can be used at certain speeds in third to sixth gears. Once at the desired speed, the system can be engaged or disengaged (transition to state SET) by means of a short central pressure of the selector. The selected cruising speed can be increased or decreased with a short press the selector up or down (increase / decrease speed 1.2 mph (2kmh) or through long press up or down for a progressive change in speed. CENTRAL SWITCH The rider can twist grip to accelerate temporarily. Upon release of the throttle grip the motorcycle will return to the selected cruising speed. It is possible to wake the system through an long press up of selector if the rider wants to resume the last set speed, otherwise a short press can set a new cruising speed. 44
