WHAT S NEW ALL-NEW 5 SERIES SEDAN TAKES TOP HONORS IN NEW CRASH TEST Last July, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced they were subjecting 55 new vehicles cars, SUVs, vans and pickups to an all-new, tougher set of crash tests that would make it even more difficult to achieve a high safety rating. In addition to an average-sized adult male dummy, a small-sized adult female dummy would be used. And just one overall safety score would be awarded for each vehicle. After the smoke cleared on the last vehicle tested, only the 5 Series Sedan and one other vehicle achieved five stars the highest rating.
