Safety Certificatin Dcumentatin Dcumentatin f safety certificatin fr the replacement lamp must be submitted with the applicatin. This dcumentatin must indicate safety certificatin has been btained. DLC staff will nt interpret safety testing as prf that safety certificatin has been btained. This must be prvided in additin t all necessary dcumentatin required fr ther prduct categries. Applicatin Review The DLC shall lg, analyze, and evaluate linear replacement lamp applicatins in accrdance with prcedures fllwed fr any individual fixture applicatin: 1) fr cmpleteness and accuracy f the filed applicatin data and 2) fr qualificatin accrding t DLC categry specificatins. If the system is designed t perate multiple lamps ff an external driver, the driver shuld be laded as it wuld be in the field, with apprpriate steps taken t calculate the efficacy f the single lamp. Fixture Level Tests: Eight-Ft Linear Replacement Lamps All eight-ft T8 replacement lamps seeking qualificatin must be tested inside a reference strip fixture using an apprpriate integrating sphere. Additinally, using a gniphtmeter, tw fur-ft linear replacement lamps with identical cnstructin as half f the eight-ft linear replacement lamp must be tested inside a reference strip fixture. The gniphtmeter testing results frm the fur-ft strip fixture shall be extraplated t represent an eight-ft strip fixture by multiplying ttal lumens, znal lumens, and wattage by 2, and the results must meet the in-situ testing requirements in Table 5. Applicants must reprt results frm eight-ft testing in the integrating sphere, results frm fur-ft testing in the gniphtmeter, and prvide clear calculatin f extraplatin f the fur ft testing t eight-ft results. The tw fur-ft linear replacement lamps must have identical crss-sectin cnstructin, including having the same type and quantity f driver(s) at same drive current, same number f LEDs r LED bards, LED layut, spacing, plastic tube material, thickness, and aluminum extrusin. Manufacturers must prvide a pht f the eight-ft and fur-ft LED layut side-by-side and as well as a crss sectin diagram f cnstructin fr bth prducts.
