DEAR DELEGATE We are delighted to welcome you to the Kongsberg Maritime Training Centre in Bakkenjordet, Horten. This pack is designed to give you information that might be helpful prior to attending the course. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Please note there are two different Kongsberg Maritime Training Centres located in Horten, the other Training Centre is KM Strandpromenaden which specialise in subsea products, Dynamic Positioning and Navigation products. ON THE DAY Registration Your course start time is listed in the mail received. Please arrive in due time for your course. Upon arrival please look for our training facilities at Bekkajordet 4 (see red arrow at above picture). Access to building Please note that the training centre will not be open to delegates automatically. KM will provide some of the participants with an access card. Special needs We recognise that some course participants may have special needs and therefore require assistance during their attendance. Please notify us of any specific requirements or assistance and we will endeavour to meet these. TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORTS Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) is located North of Oslo. It is Norway s largest airport and has the most international connections. To get to Horten from Gardermoen, the easiest and most cost efficient is to take the train from the airport to Skoppum (100 minutes), and then a taxi from Skoppum to Horten (15 min). Sandefjord Torp Airport (TRF) is located 40 km South of Horten. From Torp there are two ways of getting to Horten. Either with taxi or by railway. NB!
