Introduction The present operating instruction contains important information how to use the high tip bucket safely, economically and properly. Along with a new high tip bucket, this operating and maintenance instruction will be attached. This should serve the persons for the operation and maintenance of the high tip bucket as a guideline. However, this guideline does not replace an extensive and individual related training. Equipollant, you need for such a technical device basic skills at any rate. The operator is responsible for the safe operation of the high tip bucket. He has to ensure (e. g. by visual inspection) that the high tip bucket is in orderly and perfect condition before each use. General description The STOLL high tip bucket is designed for mounting it to a frontloader. It serves for the transport of agricultural bulk materials. Any use apart from this one is not according to the regulations. For damages resulting from this wrong use any responsibility will be rejected. This risk is borne solely by the user. Warranty claims will not be accepted in such cases. By means of this special construction, a larger overloading height and dump length can be achieved. Two hydraulic cylinders used for the high tip bucket enable this bucket by means of an additional hydraulic oil circuit to lift respectively to lower the body of the bucket. In its basic concept, all high tip buckets are nearly the same. They only differ from the assembly of the hydraulic cylinders as well as from the fixing points and design related to the features of the carrying vehicle (tractor) The operating instruction does not differentiate between the individual designs. Photos and drawings serve as examples and may differ from the real scope of delivery. 3

Before the first operating Prior to operating read and observe the operators manual and all safety instructions. In this operating instruction booklet we have marked all paragraphs which refer to your safety with this sign. Pass on all safety advices also to other users. Danger Check the threaded connections for firm seat every additional 100 operating hours. Re-tighten threaded connections as needed. Setting to work The high tip bucket (hereafter named implement or tool) will be supplied completely built-up (exceptions only after separate notice prior to the delivery). Each implement is checked carefully before leaving the factory. In order to prevent any reason for accidents, you should carefully read the following instructions: Check all mechanical fixing elements (bolts, screws, nuts, cotters etc) for its snug fit. Control all hydraulic pipes resp. hydraulic couplings for its perfect interconnection. Check also the parts for any damages. (any damage should be reported and repaired before the first use). Please read the below mentioned operating and maintenance as well as the safety instructions and the warranty regulations carefully. 4

Safety Precautions Labelling of warning and hazard notes Important information which refer to the safety of the operating staff and the implements, are specially stressed at the implement or in the operating instructions with the following symbols (logos): Danger Labelling of safety devices. In case they are not adhered to, the operator may suffer from risks. Attention Labelling of safety devices. In case they are not adhered to, the implement may be damaged. Prior to operating read and observe the operators manual and all safety instructions. Please never touch into the crushing zone as long as parts are moving. Please always keep sufficient safety distance to the bending range of the machines. Do not stay under lifted or insecure loads! Please take off the keys of the ignition and stop the engine for maintenance and repair works! 5

Safety regulations and prevention of accidents. Most accidents which occur in agricultural enterprises are the result of safety rules being disregarded by personnel. Before the first use, you have to read the manual carefully and have to observe the safety instructions!! The following information may serve for your safety. Pass on all safety advices also to other users. General instructions: Stoll implements cannot be protected competely against damages by protection measures.. So you have to keep a sufficient safety distance during the handling! Operation in accordance with specifications! 1. Stoll implements are designed and built for its specific use. Any use apart from this one is not according to the regulations. The manufacturer, STOLL, assumes no liability for damage resulting from non-intended use. This risk is borne solely by the user. 2. For the operation in accordance with the specifications also the before mentioned mounting, operating and maintenance instructions have to be adhered to. 3. Stoll implements may only be used, maintained or repaired by persons who are familiar with the product and who have been taught about the perils working with such a device. 4. The respective instructions to prevent accidents as well as the other generally accepted rules for traffic regulations have to be observed. 5. Unauthorized modifications of the implement and damages resulting from this may exclude any liability of the manufacturer. 6. Aquaint yourself with all equipments and control elements just as their function before work start. IMPORTANT: It is forbidden to approach within reach of this machinery while in use. For maintenance and repair works the frontloader and the implement have to be lowered. Do not enter the working space when the hydraulic bucket has been opened. For such a case, the devices have to be braced sufficiently. 6

Safety regulations and prevention of accidents. 1. Aquaint yourself with all equipments and control elements just as their function before work start. During work it is too late for that. 2. Before any operation of the high tip bucket put the hydraulic. control unit to its neutral position. 3. It is forbidden, to convey or raise people in bucket or other implement! 4. The maximum road speed with attached load beam is 25 km/h, the maximum working speed is 6 km/h. Check front tyres for correct loader operation air pressures! 5. Never carry out repair, cleaning or lubricating jobs with raised load beam! Lower or remove beam. Lower load beam after completion of work. 6. Never drive the tractor off with a jerk if the attachment is fully loaden or in its highest position. Drive downhill when pushing together or collecting material, whenever possible load in a trough or dip; never drive across a gradient with raised load beam; increase rear track width of the tractor as necessary and never drive with a narrower then standard front track width, even with tractors equipped with an adjustable width front axle. 7. Do not turn the tractors steering wheel when driving into the material to be loaded. 8. Sojourn within the working range is prohibited. Stay clear of raised unsecured loads. 9. Journeys with loaden bucket on public roads are prohibited. 10. Good visibility is essential during frontloader operation (clean cab windows; no risk of dazzling; sufficient lighting of the work area in the dark). 7

11. Ensure that the front loader is a safe distance away from overhead power lines. Danger to life in case of contact. 12. Liquids leaking under high pressure (Diesel fuel, hydraulic oil) can penetrate the skin and cause severe injury. When injured see a doctor immediately! 13. Before the first use of the bucket with grab and then at least once a year all hoses must be checked by an expert worker for their operational safety and replaced if required. The time of use of the hoses should not exceed six years including a maximum storage time of two years. The replacement hoses and pipings must meet with the implement manufacturer's technical standards. 14. When searching for leaks appropriate aids should be used because of the danger of injury. 15. Moreover, the accident prevention rules of agricultural trade associations and application requirements for protective devices according to the machinery protection act and the rules of trafic act have to be observed. 8

Mounting to the frontloader Mount the implement according to the operation manual of the manufacturer of the frontloader (locking pin has to be controlled for its perfect hub!). In case the implement is not locked to the frontloader, there is a risk of accidents. Lift the implement slightly from the floor. (possibly you have to remove the parking supports). Connect the hydraulic pipes to the frontloader. Attention: The system pressure may not exceed the value stipulated on the name plate. After mounting the frontloader to the tractor, you have to make a very sorrowful test for its function. Attention: It is forbidden to approach within reach of this machinery while in use. You have to make special attention to the hydraulic pipes for any pinches. In case of need, you have to adapt the connection pipes (hydraulic pipes) to the frontloader in their length before the first operation. If needed, you have to exchange the pipes! Furthermore it is possibly required to furnish the hydraulic pipes with additional protective covers. Please contact your dealer for such cases. 9

Dismounting from the frontloader Put the implement to the floor (see operating instruction of the frontloader resp. of the manufacturer of the tractor). Important notice!!: Release the hydraulic pipes from the oil pressure so the hydraulic cylinder has no pressure anymore. (e.g. close the bucket, lower the bucket to the ground). Mount the implement according to the operating manual of the tractor resp. of the manufacturer of the frontloader (loosen the locking pins). Uncouple the hydraulic pipes from the frontloader. Attention: In case the implement is not securely parked on the floor, there is the risk of injuries! Park the implement after unlocking safely so that you stands securely and may not cant over. Transport and loading Special eyebolts have been welded to the implement for loading and transport. The welded eyebolts ensure that the implement may be transported in a suitable position of center of gravity and so it can easily be lifted and transported. Please use for any case the suitable hoisting devices! The eyebolts are labelled by corresponding stickers. Road transport: The road transport is only allowed with suitable protection for tines, teeth or knives! 10

Works with implements By using the high tip bucket (and its hydraulic cylinder) the frontloader reaches a higher dumping height. Entering into the bulk cargo The high tip bucket has to be dumped completely by means of the hydraulic oil circuit of the bucket (up to the arrestor, see illustration below). Put the bucket parallel to the ground and drive into the bulk cargo with medium speed only. Advice: At the bucket you will find for a better orientation a so-called "viewing angle" which runs parallel to the bottom of the bucket! "Viewing angle" Attention: Do not turn the tractors steering wheel when driving into the material to be loaded! Attention: Please observe that there should be NO onesided charge to the high tip bucket! Digging with the bucket NEVER level or digg in direction "forward" with the bucket dumped. In such a case, the high tip bucket, the frontloader or the tractor may suffer from a damage. Attention: The high tip bucket has to be closed completely when entering into the bulk cargo when entering into the bulk cargo! This means the hydraulic cylinder of the high tip bucket needs to be retracted completely so that the body of the bucket. hits the tube of the support frame with its arrestors. Please observe that the hydraulic cylinder disposes a so-called "final position shock absorber" and so the time for full dumping takes a bit longer. body of the Stop (2-3 seconds / depending on the size carrying frame 11

with filled high tip bucket in transport position (= fully dumped!) e. g. to overload to a lorry, container etc. Just before reaching the unloading place the frontloader has to be lifted as high as required. Please drive forward so that the bucket is above the loading space ( of e. g. the container). Emptying of the high tip bucket The emptying ( e. g. dumping) of the high tip bucket is done exclusively via its integrated hydraulic cylinder. In no case, the high tip bucket may be emptied via the dumping function of the frontloader! Please observe the additional information for this For emptying the bucket please dump the bucket slowly so that the first parts of the loaded goods fall off the bucket. The implement needs to be dumped gradually to the front. (Additional hydraulic oil circuit needs to be operated> see also the instruction manual of the manufacturer of the frontloader). Bucket completely emptying. After having emptied the bucket, please return it. Please always pay attention that no persons are in the field of work or under loaded goods! Please observe the permitted applied load (see for this also the instruction manual of the manufacturer of the frontloader). Additional information: If you do not need the high tip bucket to reach a special dumping height, it can also be used as "normal bucket" (e. g.for loading of bulk materials). In this case, the two integrated hydraulic cylinders remain also in the position "retracted" i. e. the body of the bucket remains fully dumped (up to the arrestor) The tilting motion is done here exclusively via the dumping function of the frontloader. 12

Important information about the operation Emptying of the high tip bucket! Emptying (dumping) of the high tip bucket is exclusively done via its hydraulic cylinder (see illustration no. 1). Emptying (dumping) by means of the frontloader itself - e. g. by means of the implement dumping cylinder is not allowed when the bucket is dumped! This may lead to damages of the high tip bucket! Any damages arising from a improper handling (see illustration no 2 and 3) will exclude any warranty! Emptying via the hydraulic cylinder of the high tip bucket. Correct! appropriate use of the high tip bucket respectively its carrying frame remains in a fully dumped condition. Wrong improper handling tip back angle of the high tip bucket of the high tip bucket too small i. e. the carrying arm was dumped partially or fully which is not allowed! F By a too small tip back angle of the high tip bucket a too high stress to the hydraulic cylinders respectively to the pivot points of the bucket may result. This may lead to damages! 13

Care and maintenance ATTENTION: It is forbidden to approach within reach of this machinery while in use. You need to lower the implement completely and have to park it safely for maintenance or repair works. Switch off the engine! See to this also the safety devices in the intruction manual! Required works should only be done by trained and skilled personnel. When using lubricants such as oil or grease or other chemical substances, please pay special attention to the safety devices as well as to the regulations to protect the environment. Please ensure a proper disposal of the waste. Control all bolted connections and plug connections regularly. Please check the hydraulic pipes respectively the hydraulic connections regularly on its functions and leakages. According to the manufacturer, the hydraulic pipes need to be replaced all 6 years. Defective or missing safety elements have to be exchanged immediately. Wear parts (cutting edges, teeth of the bucket, fork tines etc) need to be checked regularly for fatigue fetting. In case of a heavy wear, the parts have to be exchanged by skilled staff. Bolts and bushes have to be controlled for wear! Wear debris has to be checked! Failure and supply of spare parts In case of a failure you have to call on a skilled authorized workshop. Use only original STOLL-spare parts! Cleaning works: The implement has to be cleaned in regular intervals (remove material deposits!) The intervals of cleaning have to be adapted to the conditions of use. 14

Warranty When taking delivery of the STOLL high tip bucket check immediately that all items ordered have been included. Have any claim confirmed by the forwarding agent on the delivery note and inform the supplier within 14 days about the deficiency (for the extent of supply refer to the list of items supplied ). We substitute any material which proves to be defective, within the warranty period (six months starting on the day of delivery), provided that the liability to pay assumed at the moment of delivery is met at the terms fixed. Warranty involves at the supplier s discretion either the repair of the defective component or its replacement (carriage ex works or stock). Any claims which go beyond the replacement of parts (e.g. loss or operational failure) are rejected explicitly. Warranty becomes null and void if the implement was modified by installation of foreign components without our knowledge and agreement, especially if improper modifications have been carried out. Warranty becomes likewise null and void if an ascertained defect has not been repaired immediately in a proper way. Repairs of defects caused by operational influences suppose our previous agreement if the total or partial restitution of expenses is claimed. No warranty is granted for any damage to the high tip bucket caused by the nonobservance of the permissible working capacity or transport speed. Wear and tear and damage caused by negligent or improper use of the implement as well as defects resulting from storage and corrosion are not subject to warranty. Components not manufactured by Stoll (hydraulics) are subject to the terms of warranty laid down by the respective manufacturers. Bucket components which a warranty claim is raised for, have immediately to be sent to our works (Lengede/Broistedt station) or one of our stocks for material test or ascertainment of damage. Components which are substituted by new ones, become our property. Beyond that the legal warranty regulations are applicable to the STOLL high tip bucket. Warranty claims can be be accepted if the warranty conditions are observed. 15
