Huge investment is required present consumption of electricity is 1000 kwh whereas full electric mobility would require 3000 kwh per 4-wheeler. 3 fold increase in energy would warrant huge investment in generation but also requires strengthening of wire business Besides, investment in charging infrastructure. o To meet 2030 target, we need to invest 3-4 Billion INR In charging infra every year to meet incremental annual sales. 14 This is possible if Charging is treated as regular Commercial Service Business. o It warrants Private Investment at huge scale which can provide required impetus to adoption of EVs.
