Wire Colors When a two-color wire is listed, the first color indicates the base color of the wire, the second color indicates the color of the stripe. If the vehicle is not equipped with these options, do not proceed. Hood Release Lever Plastic ut Pressure Clips Push Clip rim ool (Fiber Stick) Pressure Clips *Carefully pull the weatherstrip away from the side of the driver s side kick panel. *Remove the hood release lever by pulling toward the center of the vehicle. *Remove the plastic nut located near the vehicle dashwall, if equipped. *Remove the driver s side kick panel from the vehicle by pulling upward to release the push clip and prying toward the center of the vehicle to disengage the (2) pressure clips. 3 rim ool (Fiber Stick) *Remove the driver s side dash end cap panel by prying outward to disengage the (4) pressure clips. 4 Disassembly Section Page 4 of 22

KMA Genuine Approved Accessories (Vehicle Disassembly) Phillips Screws Screwdriver *Remove the (2) phillips screws from the side of the lower dash finish panel. 5 Phillips Screws rim ool (Fiber Stick), Screwdriver *Remove the lower dash finish panel by removing the (2) phillips screws from the bottom of the panel. Using a trim removal tool, carefully pry outward to release the (5) pressure clips. *Remove the BDII connector from the panel. *Disconnect the remaining connectors, if equipped. 6 0 mm Bolt Phillips Screws 0 mm ut Phillips Screw /4 Drive Rachet, 0mm Socket *Remove the (5) 0 mm bolts and () 0 mm nut securing the steel knee bolster panel. *Remove the steel knee bolster panel from the vehicle. 7 rim ool (Fiber Stick), Screwdriver *Remove the (3) phillips screws securing the steering column shroud ( underneath and 2 behind the steering wheel). urn the steering wheel for access. *Use a rim ool to separate and remove the steering column shroud from the vehicle. 8 Disassembly Section Page 5 of 22

KMA Genuine Approved Accessories (Vehicle Disassembly) Access Cover and Phillips Screw rim ool (Fiber Stick) 0 rim ool (Fiber Stick), Screwdriver *Carefully pull the weatherstrip away from the driver s side A pillar. *Remove the access cover and the single phillips screw from the A pillar. 9 *Starting at the top, use a trim tool and remove the driver s side A pillar trim panel by inserting the tool behind the panel and prying outward to release the (2) pressure clips. Do not lose the (2) plastic clips. Disassembly Section Page 6 of 22

KMA Genuine Approved Accessories ) Alcohol / Cleaner *Clean the area of the windshield where the antenna will be mounted with an alcohol-based glass cleaning solution. nsure the glass surface is completely dry. *Mount the dipole antenna to the windshield approximately 0.5 below the mirrors lowest attachment point and/or any windshield electronic gridwork. Remove protective backing. Press firmly to ensure a good glass to adhesive bond. rim ool (Fiber Stick), Wire Cutter *Route the antenna cable vertically on the right hand side of the mirror mount up to the headliner. uck the cable behind the headliner and down the A pillar. Use (3) small wire ties to secure the antenna cable to the factory harness located within the A pillar. rim off excess wire ties. *If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, be careful not to place the wire ties around the drain tube running down the A pillar with the factory harness. *Do not secure the antenna cable to any air bag harness or components. 2 Antenna Fuse Box Hex Bolt & ut (Hidden From View) Wire ie * orque Hex ut to 52 inch pounds 6-Pin 24-Pin 0-Pin *Route the antenna cable past the left side of the dashboard and over to the fuse panel area. *Plug the wire harness and the antenna cable into the remote start module before mounting. *nsure all connectors are properly locked into position. *Be careful not to bend/damage any of the terminals inside the remote start module. 3 /4 Drive Rachet, 3/8 Socket, orque Wrench, Wire Cutter 4 *Secure the upper right side tab of the remote start module to the top hole in the factory brace supporting the fuse box with the supplied hex bolt and hex nut. Secure the left side of the remote start module to the factory wire harnesses with () large wire tie. orque the hex nut to 52 inch pounds and trim off excess wire tie. *Secure excess antenna cable with small wire ties, as needed. rim off excess wire ties. *orque hex nut to specification. Do not over-tighten or damage to mounting tab will occur. Installation Section Page 7 of 22

KMA Genuine Approved Accessories ) Steering Column ilt Release Lever 6-Pin Connectors Remote Start Ignition Connectors Steering Column Pliers *Route the remote start harness 6-pin male and female ignition connectors upward to the ignition switch. *Disconnect the factory male 6-pin M5 ignition connector and plug in the cooresponding remote start harness connectors. 5 Pliers *Route the remote start harness 6-pin male and female keyin-sense connectors along the factory harness toward the factory 6-pin connector, located to the right of the steering column. *Disconnect the factory male 6-pin M37 connector and plug in the cooresponding remote start harness connectors. 6 Wire ie 4-Pin Connectors Pliers, Wire Cutter *Route the remote start harness 4-pin male and female brake switch connectors under the steering column to the brake switch. *Disconnect the factory male 4-pin CHG 39 connector and plug in the cooresponding remote start harness connectors. *Secure the factory male connector and the remote start harness female connector to the remote start harness with () small wire tie. rim off excess wire tie. 7 Installation Section Page 8 of 22

KMA Genuine Approved Accessories ) ** Unplug connector, if necessary, to identify proper pin location RMIAL D VIW** 6 4 3 * * * 4 3 0 9 8 2 20 9 8 7 6 5 2 I/P-F Connector Red/Black Wire Pin 6 Pliers *Route the 26-pin male and female connectors, Red/Black and Gray wires toward the fuse box. *Locate the Red/Black wire in pin #6 of the 20-pin I/P-F male connector. *Using pliers, crimp a -ap on the Red/Black wire located in pin #6 of the I/P-F male connector. *Connect the Red/Black (Hood Ajar Input) wire from the remote start harness to the Red/Black wire (Pin #6 of the I/P-F connector) by engaging the -ap. 8 ** Unplug connector, if necessary, to identify proper pin location RMIAL D VIW** 6 4 3 * * * 4 3 0 9 8 2 20 9 8 7 6 5 2 I/P-F Connector Gray Wire Pin 7 Pliers *Locate the Gray wire in pin #7 of the 20-pin I/P-F male connector. *Using pliers, crimp a -ap on the Gray wire located in pin #7 of the I/P-F male connector. *Connect the Gray (Rear Defroster utput) wire from the remote start harness to the Gray wire (Pin #7 of the I/P-F connector) by engaging the -ap. 9 Installation Section Page 9 of 22

KMA Genuine Approved Accessories ) ** Unplug connector, if necessary, to identify proper pin location RMIAL D VIW** 26 I/P- Connector Green/range Wire Pin 26 Pliers 0 *Locate the Green/range wire in pin #26 of the 26-pin I/P- male connector. *Using pliers, crimp a -ap on the Green/range wire located in pin #26 of the I/P- male connector. *Connect the Green/range (achometer Input) wire from the remote start harness to the Green/range wire (Pin #26 of the I/P- connector) by engaging the -ap. Fuse Box 26-Pin Connectors Pliers *Disconnect the factory male 26-pin BCM-FK connector at the fuse box and plug in the cooresponding remote start harness connectors. Blue Wire Pin 2 Back of Fuse Box Pliers *Route the portion of the remote start harness containing the Yellow/Black wire, Lt. Blue wire and the 22-pin male and female connectors along the right side of the fuse box to the BCM (Located on the back side of the fuse box). *Disengage the 26-pin BCM-ML connector from the backside of the BCM. *Locate the Lt. Blue wire in pin #2 of the 26-pin BCM-ML male connector. *Using pliers, crimp a -ap on the Lt. Blue wire located in pin #2 of the BCM-ML male connector. *Connect the Lt. Blue (Parking Light utput) wire from the remote start harness to the Lt. Blue wire (Pin #2 of the BCM-ML connector) by engaging the -ap. 2 RMIAL D VIW** 2 6-Pin BCM-MM Connector Yellow/Black Wire Pin 2 26-Pin BCM-ML Connector 22-Pin BCM-M Connector Pliers 3 *Disengage the 6-pin BCM-MM connector from the backside of the BCM. *Locate the Yellow/Black wire in pin #2 of the 6-pin BCM- MM male connector. *Using pliers, crimp a -ap on the Yellow/Black wire located in pin #2 of the BCM-MM male connector. *Connect the Yellow/Black (Driver Door Unlock utput) wire from the remote start harness to the Yellow/Black wire (Pin #2 of the BCM-MM connector) by engaging the -ap. KMA Genuine Approved Accessories ) 22-Pin BCM-M Connector Wire ie 4 Pliers, Wire Cutter *Disconnect the factory male 22-pin BCM-M connector at the BCM and plug in the cooresponding remote start harness connectors. *Secure the Lt. Blue (Parking Light utput) wire, Yellow/Black (Driver Door Unlock utput) wire and the 22-pin male and female BCM-M remote start harness connectors to the remote start wire harness with () small wire tie. rim off excess wire tie. Ground Location /4 Drive Rachet, 0 mm Socket *Locate the 0 mm ground bolt in the left kick panel area. *Route the Black wire with ring terminal down along the factory wire harness to the factory ground location. *Remove the 0 mm bolt. Position the black wire with ring terminal over the bolt and reinstall with factory ground wires. 5 Installation Section Page 2 of 22

If the horn begins sounding, press the disarm / programming button with the ignition to disarm the system. *Start the vehicle with the key and verify that no Diagnostic rouble Codes have been triggered. Any DCs should be reset before proceeding to the next step. *urn the ignition key to the FF/LCK position. KMA Genuine Approved Accessories (Function Check) Items o Be Checked Remote ngine Start - Make sure the key is removed from the ignition switch and the engine hood and rear hatch are closed. Activate the remote start by pressing lock followed by start within 3 seconds. Brake Pedal Safety - Press unlock and enter the vehicle. Press the brake pedal. Key-In-Sense - Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch but keep it in the FF position. Activate the remote engine start using the transmitter. Hood Safety Switch - Remove the key from the ignition and activate the remote engine start. After the vehicle has started, press the unlock button on the transmitter to disarm the security system and pull the hood release lever to release the hood. pen the door and exit the vehicle. Door Lock - Close the engine hood and all doors and press the lock button on the transmitter. Door Lock - Press the lock button on the transmitter a second time within 5 seconds. Door Unlock - Press the unlock button on the transmitter. Door Unlock - Press the unlock button on the transmitter a second time within 5 seconds of unlocking the driver s door. Rear Defrost - Activate the remote engine start. Press the remote start button on the transmitter a second time after the vehicle has started. Alarm rigger - Press the lock button on the transmitter. Manually unlock any door and enter the vehicle. Repeat this procedure twice, manually opening the hood and then the trunk. Interior Lamp - Press the unlock button on the transmitter to disarm the alarm system. Car Find Feature - Press the find/panic button on the transmitter. Repeat this process twice.
