1 General description and equipment Design Sophisticated, robust, modular design, based on more than 3 years of experience in manufacture and application worldwide. All welds are carried out by qualified welders with supervised welding procedures. Welds certified to DIN 118 and DIN 188 Part 7. The company is certified to DIN EN ISO 91. Design according to the latest regulations, e.g. EC Machinery Directive, EN, DIN, UVV, VDE, in particular to DIN 118 and related standards and regulations. The cranes and components are designed for operation under normal operating conditions. Refer to specific product description for classification and other features. Please check whether the given lifting class and loading group is adequate for the intended application. Other crane classifications (lifting class, loading group) are possible. Tables and 23 of DIN 1181 can be used to determine the classification. Agreements concerning the classification of cranes and hoists are only legally binding if we have received in writing all necessary data in advance and confirmed the classification relating to these data in writing. The maximum permissible total hoist weights and lifting speeds must be considered. The nominal outreach is defined as dimension l from the rotation point centre to the outermost load hook position. The dimension from the rotation point centre to the tip of the jib is larger by dimension lan2. The slewing ranges are approximate reference values; they are partly dependent on local site conditions; therefore, no stops to limit the slewing motion are included in the standard scope of delivery for wallmounted slewing cranes. Arrangement of slewing axis, mains connection switch, power supply line Type DAS: In the plan view (view from the pillar centre), the slewing axis is in the direction of a bore hole in the foot flange (3 o clock position) and the mains connection switch is arranged at 9 with reference to it (6 o clock position). Type DGS, DTS, DMS, DBOS: Slewing axis in the pillar centre, mains connection switch in the direction of a bore hole in the foot flange. Power supply: to the right of the jib (viewed from the rotation point towards the tip of the jib). Crane stability to DIN 1, foundations and anchor bolts to DIN 4. Max. foundation pressure 18 N/cm². Anchor bolt connections may be used in accordance with the relevant regulations if appropriate concrete foundations are provided by the customer. Cranes suitable for this fixation method are marked dia. VP. Cranes are intended for transporting loads, in particular unit loads. The transportation of persons, molten masses and other materials are subject to special agreement. Cranes are suitable for vertical installation on vibration and oscillationfree foundations. Jibs are generally provided with a positive camber. Refer to section Deflection for information on the deformation characteristics of crane supporting structures. Cranes are designed for indoor operation. Additional equipment for outdoor operation is available. The following temperature ranges apply: Indoors from +/ to + C. Outdoors from C to + C, other temperature ranges on request. 32K1.p6/73

Electrical equipment The standard scope of supply includes the power supply from the mains connection switch to the hoist with IP4 enclosure. Higher enclosure levels or explosionproof design on request Cranes are designed for threephase V ± % Hz power supply. Other power supply types on request Unless specifically confirmed otherwise, all cranes for operation with chain hoists are provided with direct online control. Overload protection, which can be supplied at an extra price, is required where there is a risk of overload. Equipment/scope of supply All steel components are Sa 2½ shotblasted to DIN 928. Paint finish: The outside surfaces of the pillar and jib are painted with a finish approx. 7µm thick, colour: chrome yellow, RAL 7 or according to our quotation/ order confirmation. The hoist and trolley are supplied in azure blue, RAL 9. Bearing brackets, bearing pins, etc. as well as covers, e.g. for rollers, are supplied in black to RAL 9, regardless of the colour and finish. Functional surfaces, such as bearing seats, etc., remain blank metal. Drives/gearboxes, switchgear cabinets, etc. are supplied in the original manufacturer s finish. A small container of paint is also supplied to repair any damage that might occur in transit (only in Germany). The jib, pillar and accessories are disassembled for shipping. Standard packing comprises a robust cardboard box for the electrical components and small parts as well as grease paper packing for blank metal parts, such as bearing housings, etc. and wooden wedges for truck transport. Crane components (pillar / bracket assembly and jib) are unpacked. Special packing can be supplied on request, e.g. shrinkfoil packing, special pallet packing, seaworthy packing. Mounting bolts for wallmounted jib cranes are not included in the standard scope of delivery, but are available at extra cost. The scope of supply includes comprehensive documentation: instructions for preparing the foundations, illustrated assembly instructions, crane test and inspection booklet, EC manufacturer s declaration, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, UVV accident prevention regulations 2943 (only in Germany), further documentation on request. 6 Special equipment/ accessories A wide range of special accessories and additional equipment can also be supplied for all cranes, e.g.: Flexible, customised dimension modifications, e.g. heights or lengths. Different mounting methods using anchor bolts, anchor bolt connections, TOP anchor bolts or compact anchor bolts; support brackets, etc. Different colours, special coatings, hotdip galvanization, slewing motion limiters, jib locking devices, etc. Access steps, working platforms and scaffolding are not included in the scope of delivery, but can be supplied as accessories. Cranes for special applications and arrangements are available, e.g. high buildings, towers, maritime environment, inclined operation, etc., however, corresponding details must be provided. 32K1.p6/73

Special features, exclusions We assume no liability for the load bearing capacity of any supports, walls or foundations supplied by other parties. Any reinforcement work required must be carried out by the customer. Information on shearing forces may be provided in advance, on request. In the case of deliveries including complete cranes ready for operation or installation, any building work such as concrete, foundations, masonry, drilling and chiselling work are not included in our scope of supply. Also excluded are grouting beneath the crane base, the removal of Ushaped plates and the tightening of nuts on the crane base. Relevant national inspection and safety regulations and codes of practice must be complied with. Observe safety distances as laid down in relevant accident prevention regulations and national regulations. All details are provided as general information; the scope of supply and services is based on the order confirmation which must be checked carefully on receipt. Design subject to alteration. All previously supplied data are no longer valid. Commissioning The owner (operator) must ensure that cranes are inspected to the relevant accident prevention regulations BGV D6 (VBG ) Cranes before being put into service for the first time. When is it necessary to subject a crane to an acceptance test? Subject to an acceptance test: all cranes > kg load capacity, all cranes < = kg load capacity, with 2 or more powered motions, (Example: electric hoist and trolley travel). Cranes not subject to an acceptance test: May be put into service by an experienced technician (e.g. fitter) May be put into service after handover or acceptance, if there are no safety requirements. Putting into service must be carried out by experienced technicians in compliance with the relevant principles for crane tests. Cranes subject to an acceptance test: Acceptance test by authorized crane expert engineers. May be put into service following DIN 13 acceptance test of crane installations in acc. with UVV BGV D6 (VBG 9) cranes. A test load and lifting attachments must be provided by the customer. 32K1.p6/73 7
