Disassembly
Disassembly 1 / 2 1 2 3 Insert the removal tools into the slots on each side of the radio. Unclip, pull and lift the radio disconnecting the antenna connector. 4 Using the plastic trim tools, unclip the central screen surround. Pull hard on the child mirror. 5 6 1 Remove screw 1 then unclip the cover. Using the plastic trim tools, unclip and disconnect the cabin light.
Disassembly 2 / 2 7 8 2 Remove screw 2. Using the plastic trim tools, unclip the cabin light panel. (Do not disconnect it.) 9 10 Using the plastic trim tools, unclip and remove the junction strip covers. Using the plastic trim tools, unclip the clip located on the left side of the dashboard. 11 12 Unscrew and release the fuse box cover. Remove the door seal on the driver s side.
Microphone feeding 1 / 2 1 2 3 Run the cable into the rearview mirror junctions, refitting the covers. Stick the bracket provided onto the cover above the rain sensor, after cleaning the surface. 4 1 Replace screw 1. Feed the cable into the panel under the sun visor. 5 6 Feed the cable into the panel under the sun visor towards the driver's side windscreen post on the left-hand side. Then run the cable replacing the seal on the driver's side door.
Microphone feeding 2 / 2 7 8 Pass the cable into the dashboard on the left side. Using a guide, feed the cable behind the fuse box. 9 Using a guide, feed the cable under the steering wheel towards the car stereo housing.
Feeding the accessory cable 1 2 Using a guide, feed the cable from the glove box towards the radio housing. Pass the cable through the hole in the middle of the glove box. 3 Be careful to leave enough length.
Fitting the hands-free system 1 / 2 1 Connect the adaptor (86165/9706AP for the CK or the 84744/9706AT for the Mki) to the original connector and connect all of the wires to the blue box as shown in the diagram below. Test before reinstalling then slide the assembly into the bottom housing of the central console. (Located under the storage compartment.) ISO adapter 2 Slide the assembly towards the bottom of the radio housing.
Fitting the hands-free system 2 / 2 3 4 The central part of the display. Feed the cable through the hole just behind the parking brake button towards the radio housing. 5 6! Then stick the support provided in the bottom right-hand corner of the display surround. After cleaning the surface, clip the surround back on making sure that you DO NOT cut the cable. Finish by positioning the screen. 12
Testing Before refitting the system, switch the kit on using the ignition (or by starting the car). By pushing the central knob of the remote control, check: 1 - That the menu is displayed on the screen. (Language or ipod.) 2 - That the system can be muted. (Click in the blue box.) 3 - That there is no sound coming from the speakers. 4 - That the sound from the voice menu is coming out of the front speakers. 5 - Then turn off the ignition, check that the kit switches off and that the "goodbye" message appears on the screen. (If this fails, reverse the fuses on the kit's wiring harness.) 6 - Pair a telephone with the kit to make a call. (Check that both the microphone and the kit are working.)
Reassembly Refit the system using the following procedure: 1 Re-install the radio reconnecting the adaptor and the antenna. 2 - Clip the cabin light panel back on and replace screw 2. 3 - Reconnect the light and clip it back into the cabin light. 4 Re-fit the fusebox cover by pushing hard. 5 Re-fit the panel on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
