National foreword This standard has been published in accordance with a decision taken by CEN/TC 249 to adopt, without alteration, International Standard ISO 6402-1 as a European Standard. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Kunststoffe (Plastics Standards Committee), Technical Committee Polystyrol-Formmassen. DIN EN ISO 1043-1 and DIN EN ISO 6402-2 are the standards corresponding to International Standards ISO 1043-1 and ISO 6402-2, respectively, referred to in clause 2 of the EN. Amendments This standard differs from the July 2001 edition as follows: a) Further designatory properties have been specified (cf. subclauses 3.4.4 and 3.4.5). b) The ranges for the Charpy notched impact strength have been amended (cf. table 6). c) The standard has been editorially revised. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, and conflicting national standards withdrawn, by April 2003 at the latest.
