INTEGRATED TRAINING SYSTEM INTRODUCING THE TRAINER OF THE FUTURE The T-100 is more than just an aircraft. It s a turnkey solution for the U.S. Air Force s T-X program. Team T-100 is comprised of CAE USA for ground-based training, Honeywell for propulsion engines, Leonardo Aircraft s world-class aircraft and integrated training system and Leonardo DRS to tie it all together. We re proud to be the only T-X team building a new U.S. tactical aircraft manufacturing facility. For years to come, the T-100 will bring high-tech jobs in aircraft and training system production to America. Making it the right choice not only for our pilots, but for our country, today and in the future.

ADVANCED JET AND LEAD-IN FIGHTER TRAINER The T-100 is a twin-engine, tandem-seat, next generation advanced jet trainer, and the central element of a family of systems for training designed to allow student pilots to develop knowledge, skills and practices to fly modern combat aircraft. The T-100 is purpose-built for a wide range of training capabilities, long-term reliability and cost-effective operations. These characteristics along with its proven integrated training system comprised of Simulators and Ground Based Training devices, including the most advanced and already operational Live, Virtual, and Constructive environment make the T-100 the best solution to train today s next generation fighter pilots. The T-100 characteristics maximize teaching effectiveness and enable flight hours to be downloaded from front two-seat versions of front line aircraft, allowing a huge saving in the Air Force s operational training costs, and preserves service life on the front line fighters. A FAMILY OF SYSTEMS FOR TRAINING In its training role, the T-100 is conceived as the core of a family of systems for advanced aircrew training which includes: Aircraft with built-in Embedded Tactical Training Simulation (ETTS) Suite of flight simulators (Weapons System Trainer and Operational Flight Trainer) Academic training (Computer Aided Instruction and Computer Based Training to include Desktop Simulators) Mission Planning (Mission Support Station to support Briefing and De-briefing phases) Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training environment (the ability to link flight simulators with the aircraft) Training Need Analysis (TNA) and Training Management Information System (TMIS) Integrated Logistic Support The aircraft is designed to meet the rigorous training needs of the U.S. Air Force (USAF). Building upon the proven technology and systems of Leonardo s M-346, the T-100 incorporates bestin-class U.S. industry technology to provide USAF with the capability it needs today to meet the requirements of tomorrow.

EMBEDDED TACTICAL TRAINING SIMULATION (ETTS) A comprehensive in-flight ETTS suite is a key feature of the T-100 and flight simulators and a core element of the family of systems for advanced training. ETTS enables the T-100 to offer the whole spectrum of simulated training functions in flight and on the ground and provides both students and instructors with the following on-board simulations: A tactical scenario (digital map with threats and targets) Presence of realistic Computer Generated Forces (friend and foe) On-board sensors (such as multimode Fire Control Radar, targeting pod and active/passive electronic countermeasures) Weapons, including specific symbology and delivery parameters Live, Virtual, Constructive capability to link aircraft with flight simulators ETTS functions can support Stand Alone (flying a single-ship mission) or Multi-Ship networked operations, with aircraft and simulators networked via a dedicated Training Datalink to exchange Tactical Scenario data with other participants.

T-100: MASTER IN TRAINING Thanks to the excellent, proven in-service, advanced Lead-In Fighter Trainer capabilities and high performances, the T-100 aircraft can smoothly enable student pilots to accomplish all their training tasks in flight. Amongst the characteristics which make the T-100 the safest aircraft for student pilots are: Carefree handling and throttle movements in the whole flight envelope Four channel fly-by-wire flight control system Twin engine configuration Low wing loading providing more margin for error Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (Auto GCAS) Pilot Activated Recovery System (PARS) Unique engine design stall/surge resistant with auto relight Thanks to non-afterburning engines, its high training endurance keeps costs down and is best tailored to the training mission s duration to deliberately perform the required training syllabus objectives, in a more effective and efficient way.

HIGH PERFORMING AIRCRAFT The T-100 exposes student pilots to the agility and flight characteristics experienced in the front line 5th generation fighters, and exposes the student pilot to the flow of information required to easily manage a modern network centric combat environment. Key attributes include: Full controllability at High Angle of Attack High rate of climb High speed and maneuverability, even with one engine inoperative Sustained high G maneuvers High thrust to weight ratio High-end, net-centric communication suite Full network capable LVC environment THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE MOST DEMANDING AIR FORCES The T-100 is an evolution of the proven, in-service Leonardo M-346 that has won the most important international tenders and has been selected by some of the most demanding Air Forces in the world, beating the most advanced training aircraft available on the market, delivering first class training and operational capabilities, while keeping operating costs low. The M-346 is in service with the Israeli, Singaporean, Italian and Polish Air Forces.

Israel: The new trainers [M-346 Lavi] have provided manifold advantages and take [pilot] training much more forward. It has met all our expectations and more. The aspects of the flight performance, its specifications, the capabilities it has, the savings in jet fuel, the safety from it being dual-engine, it has redundancy in almost every system on the plane. We are very, very, very satisfied. Lt. Col. Tal, Heyl Ha Avir (Israeli Air Force) in charge of M-346 Lavi operations July 21, 2016 The Times of Israel Italy: The T-346 has striking performance: the generous thrust, the roll rate and, in general, the high stability at all speeds. The strength of the 346 is surely the ETTS, the integrated simulation platform, which allows you to play a variety of sensors such as radar, targeting pod, [and] a suite of electronic countermeasures, to name a few. All these sensors can be employed with other aircraft of the same type as if they were real and, at the same time, also interacting with ground simulators to re-create an environment typical of that of the latest generation combat aircraft. Lt. Col. Sossi, instructor pilot of 61 Stormo, Italian Air Force March 2016 Combat Aircraft Magazine

Italy: The T-346 is not just an aircraft in its own right, but part of an integrated system that is a real revolution compared to the past. The ground element of the IPTS [Integrated Pilot Training System] employs modern simulation systems [that enable us to] download a good slice of the activities that were previously carried out at the OCU and that were previously conducted in flight, thereby bringing substantial savings. Col. Paolo Tarantino, Commander of the 61 Stormo, Italian Air Force March 2016 Combat Aircraft Magazine Poland: The M-346 aircraft really is the best, and at the same time the most economical solution, compared to the current system. Since training will be cheaper, this means more savings for the Polish Air Force. But what is more interesting about this project, is the fact that we could become a training center for other countries in the future. We have such capabilities, thanks to the school in Dęblin. Bartosz Kownacki, Vice-minister of National Defense June 8, 2016 Nasz Dziennik Polish newspaper
