Trailer equipment Use the trailer emergency power off button only in a absolutely case of emergency as this can damage the installed medical devices as well as trailer equipment. Examination Room, Control Room and Preparation Room These three rooms are separated of each other corresponding to the radiation protection level needed Examination Room and preparation room are part of the controlled area and only personnel and patients can access these rooms The preparation room is equipped with a hot lab and related instrumentation The hot lab is for temporary storage of Fluor-18 (FDG) up to the injection of the patient The hot lab has its own climatic circulation and is equipped with an activity monitor A protective syringe shield is available The control room is equipped with a contamination monitor The preparation and the examination room have a video camera to survey the patient A washbowl is installed in the preparation and the examination room. Injector (optional) ACIST Empower CTA Contrast Medical Injector Consumables Consumables have to be arranged by the customer. Control room Spacious work place with built- in cupboards Console for image viewing and reconstruction Stereo Sound System with Radio and CD Player Integrated Discovery Dimension Workstation with MOD- Drive and CD- Burner DICOM Interface with DI- COM Services PRINT and SEND Software level Services PRINT and SEND Software level PET/CT System 4.1 EBW with two high resolution 19-inch monitors Patient lift Easy access to the examination room for patients with movement limitations. In case a patient is not mobile, it is required to use an wheelchair or emergency bed. The patient lift is designed according to the Accident Prevention Regulation and is regularly inspected of the correct working state. The patient lift has a roofing which is also used as a sunscreen. Maximum load capacity: 450 kg. Patient lift dimensions for bed: 110 cm x 185 cm (l x w) Emergency switch The system has two different independent emergency power stop systems: 1. Power-off of the PETCT scanner. The complete PETCT scanner will be without electricity and this can damage the PETCT scanner, the computers and can cause loss of (patient) data. 2. power-off the trailer. The complete trailer will be without electricity, this can cause damage to the PETCT scanner and all other components in the trailer. It can also cause loss of (patient) data. 6
Location requirements Alliance Medical can carry out a free site visit to help you plan for the delivery, installation and operation of the trailer. Access Route The road to the trailer parking area should be accessible for the trailer and tractor combination. It needs to be free of parked cars and other obstacles. During winter times it is to be kept free of snow and ice. Area to be provided The parking place dimensions are approx. 13,60 m x 5,75 m (l x w) being 1 meter of free space all around the trailer It is necessary to be able to open the compartment doors of the trailer for service and/or maintenance Also sufficient space is required to allow patients with movement limitations to access the patient lift. Surface / foundation A solid surface with a loading capacity of 44,5t is necessary. It is advised that a form of concrete road surface is used. Other conditions The trailer parking area should be flat to enable set up and trouble-free operation of the system. Unevenness should not be more than 1% of trailer the length Power, network and water connections have to be available and functional. Other requirements Authorizations regarding the transportation and usage of a PETCT system are obtained from regulatory bodies. Alliance Medical can advise and assist. 7
Operating supplies and Connections It is important that all connections needed for operating the unit are available and operational during the delivery and usage of the system. Electrical connections Power supply: 400 V / 125 A Frequency: 50 Hz Power: 60 kva. Norm connection plug: CEE Norm system (CEE 125 A, 5- poling), 3 Phases, N, PE. Tension variation: + 5 % Frequency variation: +/- 3 Hz. The trailer will be delivered with 12,00 m power cable The polarity of the power supply must be set for clockwise (right turning) rotation Leakage Current detector: located on main power line, trailer unit has an own breaker. Emergency power stop switch: located next to the customer power connection (in case of fire a easy power shut off through and external switch is required). Network & Telephone PACS and storage requirements should be DICOM 3.0 format A network connection box is located in the distribution box in the belly compartment of the trailer (Type RJ45 CAT 5) A direct line goes to the operation room of the trailer to connect user equipment (RIS station, laptop) To gain connectivity to the local hospital network the user must provide a connection to the local network through an accessible network socket (RJ45 CAT5 connection). This socket should be located in the proximity of the trailer for example at the power connection. The network cable must be provided by the customer. Water A water connection is necessary for refilling the water tank used for the internal humidifier and the wash-bowl connection type is a 1/2 inch hose system The waste water tank has an 1 inch hose connection. 8
Guidelines The guidelines are important. Please read them carefully. Equipment The medical equipment complies with EU Directive 93/42 EEC and is valid in the entire European economic area through the Declaration of conformity issued by the manufacturer, as well as the CE-label. In addition, the system is approved by the manufacturer for mobile operation. Handling Authorization Alliance Medical has the operating license for mobile PET / CT The approval for dealing with FDG (Fluor-18), as well as the enclosed test sources, must be requested by the hospital from the competent authority. The mobile PET/CT can be used from the moment the approvals are received. Before the first day of use, Alliance Medical must have a copy of the approvals. Decontamination The trailer is, when delivered by Alliance Medical, decontaminated At the end of the rental the trailer must be handed over back to Alliance Medical also decontaminated. Renting a system The leaser, as user of the mobile system, is obliged to familiarize himself with the local legislation If not agreed otherwise in writing the costs for special constructions, (re) building as well as (local) approvals or acceptance tests are with the leaser/ user. 9
