Design CP Valves Design CP valves are single-port valves with integral flanges, stem guiding, and clamped-in, quick-change trim. Integral Flanges--The valve is available in steel, stainless steel, and alloys for corrosion resistance; the integral flanges allow easier maintenance compared to separable-flange valves. Flow Characteristics--Select from linear or equal percentage trim and full-size trim, restricted-capacity to meet changing flow and control requirements, or Micro-Flow valve plugs for very low flow rates. Self-Aligning Trim--The valve plug and seat ring are concentric for self-alignment, which eases maintenance and promotes better shutoff. Parts Identification--Trim parts are marked with size, material, and part number. Plug-stem assemblies are marked with flow characteristic and coefficient. Standard or Long Face-to-Face Dimensions--ISA S75-0 is standard, but long ISA S75.0 is optional. Bidirectional Flow--The Design CP valve can be used for either flow-up or flow-down to take advantage of fluid dynamics in actuator sizing for fail-closed applications. Noise-Attenuating Trim--To help reduce aerodynamic noise in gas and vapor service, Whisper Trim III trim is available. To eliminate liquid cavitation, Cavitrol III trim is available. The FloVue Final Control System Compact and Lightweight...The small size and low weight make installation easy and saves space. For the size 0, system weight is from to 6 pounds (0 to 8 kilograms), and maximum height is 17-1/ inches (7 millimeters) from the pipe centerline. Peak Performance Maintained...Two-way digital communication provides current valve information. Rely on this real-time information to make sound process management decisions. By analyzing valve dynamics through FIELDVUE ValveLink software, you can identify control areas needing improvement and thus maintain high performance. Increased Process Uptime...The diagnostic capability of FIELDVUE instruments takes the guesswork out of maintenance scheduling. The FIELDVUE digital controller provides self-calibration, diagnostics, and a cycle-count capability. Comparing valve/actuator data (seat load, friction, etc.) with previously stored data shows when maintenance is needed. Integrated Accessories...The digital valve controller, optional switch, and transmitter are an integral part of the package. External piping, mounting brackets, and linkages are eliminated; this uncluttered package is easy to install. Reduced Maintenance Costs...Simplicity of design results in a minimum of components. There are no W6507-1 / IL seals to maintain, no actuator stem, no bench set adjustment, and no maintenance required on the actuator power module. - 0 ma + HART INPUT SIGNAL AUXILIARY TERMINALS PRESSURE SENSOR FOR ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS PRINTED WIRING BOARD I/P SUPPLY PRESSURE STEM FEEDBACK OUTPUT PRESSURE RELAY A680-1/IL Operation of FloVue Final Control System 8
System 9000 Actuator The System 9000 actuator is a single-acting, highpressure pneumatic actuator with spring-return action and integrated instrumentation. The assembly consists of a power module, yoke, cover, and digital valve controller. There are no exposed linkages, no mounting brackets, and no external tubing to complicate installation or maintenance. The actuator has few parts, which minimizes spare parts inventory. It can be easily reversed in the field to provide fail-open or fail-closed operation. To reverse, simply re-position the power module on the actuator yoke. FIELDVUE DIGITAL VALVE CONTROLLER ACTUATOR FEEDBACK BRACKET COVER The spring is encapsulated by seal welding for improved safety during maintenance and to eliminate bench set adjustments. No bench set calculations or spring selection is required. Specifications... Maximum supply pressure is 100 psig (6.9 bar), and the ambient temperature capabilities are -0 to 180 F ( 0 to 8 C). The actuator yoke is steel, the canisters are stainless steel, and the module body and cover are anodized and powderpainted aluminum. POWER MODULE ASSEMBLY STEM CONNECTOR YOKE Controller and Accessories...Refer to the FIELD- VUE digital valve controller section. The actuator has three accessory mounting pads: each has two 5/16 UNC holes spaced -1/ inches (57. millimeters) apart. W665-1A/ IL 9
