THE ASTON MARTIN GT4 CHALLENGE OF GREAT BRITAIN 2012 The Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of Great Britain returns for it s third successive season in 2012. Featuring larger grids and longer races, the series continues to captivate all those who participate. The GT4 Challenge is a unique opportunity for racing drivers of all abilities. Drivers compete in identical Aston Martin GT4 cars, racing head-to-head at some of the best circuits in the UK and Europe, making it an experience not to be missed. Based on the Vantage S road car, Aston Martin GT4 race cars feature a 445 BHP engine with paddle-shift transmission, these cars are powerful, beautiful and easy to drive with a 50:50 weight balance and driver aids such as race-developed ABS and traction control. Races in the series are carefully planned, with the race, qualifying and practice being held on a single day, where available, optional testing sessions are held the day before races. At UK circuits, the series takes prime position in the paddock with fabulous VIP hospitality for drivers and their guests to relax between sessions and separate garages for each competitor. Exclusively for Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars and in order to control costs, the performance upgrades introduced for 2012 are ineligible for the GT4 Challenge. A full specification for the Vantage GT4 can be found on page 9. Alternatively, drivers not wanting to purchase a car may buy a seat in the series from one of the existing teams; contacts for these teams can be provided on request. At the request of many of the drivers who competed in 2011 the majority of races in the 2012 calendar will be run over 2 hours, with at least one 3-hour race included on the calendar.

ASTON MARTIN RACING FESTIVAL AT LE MANS Aston Martin Racing has launched a new Vantage GT4 in 2011. The new, V8 engined racing car is styled on Aston Martin s V12 Vantage road car, giving it enhanced aerodynamics and increased downforce. It also has a remapped 4.7 litre engine increasing power and torque. The Vantage GT4 s new splitter increases downforce at the front of the car, as well as channelling cooling air to the brakes and radiator. At the rear, the car gains the V12 s larger boot flip. This works together with a new carbon fibre diffuser and rear underfloor, which create an area of low pressure under the rear of the car, to increase downforce. The redesigned underfloor also channels more air through a new rear-mounted high capacity transmission oil cooler. In addition to the engine and aero upgrades, competitors can, for the first time, choose a race-developed Bosch ABS and traction control system. This system has been specifically optimised by Bosch Motorsport for the Vantage GT4 to provide the optimum performance in both wet and dry conditions. A full specification can be seen overleaf.

Driver performance Aston Martin Racing now offers driver performance programmes for all its customers. The same programmes are compulsory for all our works team drivers, as the benefits are obvious: when a driver is physically and mentally fitter, it is possible to maintain higher levels of concentration, experience less fatigue, and benefit from faster recovery times particularly crucial in endurance racing. If you consider the amount of time that goes into the set up of a car to maximise the performance, it goes without saying that personal set up is just as fundamental. We offer a range of four driver performance packages or we are happy to tailor bespoke packages to suit individual drivers Option One: fitness appraisal To start out we conduct a series of benchmarking test covering everything from your medical and exercise history to specific measures of your strength and fitness; and measurements of body fat levels, hydration and lung function. Option two - The progressive plan All of the tests will provide a bench mark enabling us to design a progressive training plan tailored around your exact requirements. Our plans are designed around six week goal sets. After six weeks, we will need to identify areas of improvement and make the relevant progressive changes to the routine. After 12 weeks, the driver will be re-assessed and once again the plans and routine will be amended to suit. We feel it is crucial to let the plan evolve with the driver as they train, we all know life has a tendency to deviate from even the best of our best intentions. Option three - 1-2-1 or group training sessions All the same benefits as in option one, but with the added motivation and results generated by 1-2-1 training sessions, these can be booked in to suit precise needs or added at a later stage if motivation or time becomes an issue. Note: Driver Performance not included in the British GT4 Challenge package Option four - event support Total support during events. We provide detailed pre, during and post race nutrition based on calorie rate expenditure. One of our trainers will be on hand during each race meeting, providing the right levels of hydration, stretching and remedial sports massage, before the driver gets into the car and as soon as they get out, guiding them through the best way to get the most out of their body without the aid of stimulants.
