Our valve meets -A requirements, and is designed for use in food, pharmaceutical, and other industries with sanitary requirements. Check Valves Working Principal Spring Check valves, also described as non-return valves, are designed to allow flow in one direction while preventing flow in the opposite direction. Check Valves Application Y-Ball Check Valves Get control with the Bradford Y-ball check valves. These valves are designed to prevent reverse flow in systems moving liquid products. Working Principal When liquid flows into the inlet, the PTFE ball rolls up into the branch of the valve allowing full fluid flow. Application Air Relief Valves Get control with the Bradford dependable air relief valve which can be installed vertically on top of a tank, container or tube where air removal is required. Examples: ) Bleeding of a tube line where an air pocket has formed because of the installation. This application calls for installation at the top of the tube. ) Bleeding of a tube on the suction side of a pump. The suction side is bled automatically, before the pump starts, establishing a vacuum. Binding of air to liquid will be prevented, and so will subsequent cavitation. In this application the valve is mounted in front of the pump, on the top of the inlet tube. Important: For correct installation, product density must be higher than the ball density. Aluminum Rack and Pinion Actuators Bi-Directional Travel Stop Bradford actuators feature bi-directional pinion travel stops. Two stops located on the side of the actuator allow a full ± 5 of valve travel adjustment, giving a guaranteed range of adjustment between 80 and 00 of actuator travel. These travel stops are designed to absorb the maximum rated torque of the actuator and the maximum impact loading associated with recommended stroke speed.
