These fluids deliver outstanding protection against micropitting, abrasion and wear. They deliver unsurpassed extreme pressure and anti-wear performance and provide outstanding thermal stability. The LUBRIPLATE PGO Gear Oils may be recommended for helical, bevel helical, planetary and worm gear reducers. Materials compatibility with PAG synthetic fluids is an important consideration. Polyurethane based elastomers, leather, cork, paper and board should be avoided. Common seal and gasket materials are unaffected by the LUBRIPLATE PGO fluids. Nitrile Rubber (NBR), fluoro-silicone or vinyl-methyl polysiloxane (Q) are recommended especially where high temperatures are involved. Ordinary industrial paints will soften in the presence of the LUBRIPLATE PGO Gear Oils. Internal gearbox surfaces should ideally be unpainted or coated with resistant materials, for example a resistant twopack epoxy formulation. The LUBRIPLATE PGO Gear Oils are not compatible, nor should they be mixed with mineral oilbased lubricants or polyalphaolefin (PAO) based fluids. When changing from a mineral oil or a PAO to one of the LUBRIPLATE PGO fluids, the following flushing procedure should be followed: The system should be run until the old oil is warm, then drain as fully as possible, particular attention being paid to reservoirs, lines etc., where oil may be trapped. The system should be cleaned of residual sludge. Flush the system with the minimum quantity of LUBRIPLATE PGO Fluid by operating under no load, then drain the system while the fluid is warm. Repeat if necessary. Seals, etc., should be inspected and if deteriorated, then replaced. Seals previously exposed to other oils may shrink when exposed to LUBRIPLATE PGO Gear fluids, therefore, it may be advantageous to replace them, however, this is not mandatory. Careful inspection of the system for leaks will often suffice. It is useful to inspect the lubricant after one or two days in use to make sure that it is free of extraneous materials. Contamination with significant quantities of other lubricants can, in some cases, lead to sludging, foaming and other problems. (Over for Typical Test Data)

The combination of an ashless additive system and the synthetic ester base provide protection against wear, rust, oxidation and corrosion. Both fluids utilize an enhanced coefficient of friction additive which will disperse and clean pre-existing carbon deposits on chains and bearings thereby reducing power consumption. These products deliver unsurpassed oxidation stability and anti-coking performance. They remain stable and clean in the application. LUBRIPLATE Synthetic High Temp Fluids are recommended for use on bakery oven chains, drying oven chains, tenter frame chains, heat-treating chains, paint curing oven chains and any other type of bearing/slide/gear box application where they are exposed to high operating temperatures and must maintain a clean lubricated surface. LUBRIPLATE Synthetic High Temp Fluids can be fed through micro lube systems, spray systems, mist systems, drip bottle systems and can be hand applied. When lubricating a hot chain, position the lubricator at the coolest point on the chain and use the minimum volume necessary to properly lubricate the chain. This will help prevent smoking of the lubricant once it reaches the hottest point in the oven. When lubing a hot chain, position the lubricator at the coolest point or as close as possible. Note: Know and understand the source of the heat to avoid fires. If you are in doubt, contact Technical Services at, 1-800-347-5343. Our suggestion for establishing the lube cycle for automatic chain lubricators are to base it on amperage draw (an increase in friction). A simple high amp setting, activating a solenoid, signaling the lube motor (present for lube duration) to turn on. If you have any problems with systems of this nature, contact one of our Technical Staff. Remember to advise your customer that this chain oil contains an ester and when first applied to a used chain, he may experience a heavy cleaning action and must deal with dirt, contaminants and rust coming off the used chain. This will last ± two weeks and then the only thing coming off the chain will be a soft carbon when used in maximum temperature range. 5-26 LUBRIPLATE SYNCOOL FLUIDS LUBRIPLATE Syncool Fluids consist of premium synthetic polyglycolester base stocks, targeted for high performance in rotary screw and rotary vane air compressors where high operating temperatures are present. Typically, compressors with discharge air temperatures ranging from 210 F to 240 F are candidates for LUBRIPLATE Syncool Fluids. These fluids are formulated with state of the art additives to enhance the already inherent outstanding performance characteristics of the base fluids. LUBRIPLATE Syncool Fluids are available in two (2) ISO Viscosity Grades (ISO VG 32 & ISO VG 46). LUBRIPLATE Syncool 32 interchanges to Sullair Sullube 32 and Palatek Pallube 32, while LUBRIPLATE Syncool 46 interchanges with Ingersoll Rand SSR Ultra Coolant. LUBRIPLATE Syncool Fluids provide several advantages compared to petroleum-based products. Excellent thermal and oxidation stability characteristics increase the service life of the lubricant resulting in extended drain intervals; typically 8,000 hours under normal conditions. Non-carbonizing which eliminates harmful deposits. High viscosity indexes, which means less change in the viscosity of the fluid over a wide temperature range.
