1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 PrtNde Gateway PrtNde is an external, high perfrmance Building Autmatin multi-prtcl gateway that is precnfigured t Aut-Discver any f the Eatn-Cper s prducts (hereafter called device ) cnnected t the PrtNde and autmatically cnfigures them fr BACnet 1 MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Mdbus TCP/IP r LnWrks 2. It is nt necessary t dwnlad any cnfiguratin files t supprt the required applicatins. 2 BACNET/LONWORKS SETUP FOR PROTOCESSOR PROTONODE FPC- N34/FPC-N35 2.1 Recrd Identificatin Data Each PrtNde has a unique part number lcated n the side r the back f the unit. This number shuld be recrded, as it may be required fr technical supprt. 2.3 Cnfiguring Device IP Cmmunicatins 2.3.1 Set Greengate r ilumin IP Address Cnnected t the PrtNde The Greengate r ilumin device needs t be n the same IP subnet as the PrtNde and the cnfiguratin PC. 2.3.2 Cnfigure Device IP Address settings Recrd the fllwing t start the setup: IP Address IP prt Panel Address Number f Panels Nte: This infrmatin is required fr Sectin 4. + Eatn-Cper PrtNde Startup Guide 3.2 BACnet MS/TP (FPC-N34): Wiring Field Prt t RS-485 BMS Netwrk Cnnect the BACnet MS/TP RS-485 netwrk wires t the 3-pin RS-485 cnnectr n PrtNde FPC-N34 as shwn belw in Figure 6. The RS-485 GND (Pin 3) is nt typically cnnected. See Sectin 5 fr infrmatin n cnnecting t BACnet/IP netwrk. If the PrtNde is the last device n the BACnet MS/TP, then the End-Of-Line Terminatin Switch needs t be enabled. (Figure 7) The default setting frm the factry is OFF (switch psitin = right side). T enable the EOL Terminatin, turn the EOL switch ON (switch psitin = left side). 3.4 Pwer-Up PrtNde Apply pwer t PrtNde as shw belw in Figure 10. Ensure that the pwer supply used cmplies with the specificatins prvided in Appendix C.1. PrtNde accepts either 9-30VDC r 12-24 VAC n pins 4 and 5. Frame GND shuld be cnnected. 4 CONFIGURE THE PROTONODE VIA WEB CONFIGURATOR GUI 4.1 Cnnect the PC t PrtNde via the Ethernet Prt Cnnect a Cat 5 Ethernet cable (Straight thrugh r Crss-Over) between the PC and PrtNde. The Default IP Address f PrtNde is 192.168.1.24, Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. If the PC and PrtNde are n different IP Netwrks, assign a static IP Address t the PC n the 192.168.1.xxx netwrk. Fr Windws XP: G t > > Right-click n Lcal Area Cnnectin > Prperties Highlight > Fr Windws 7: G t > > > > Right-click n Lcal Area Cnnectin > Prperties Highlight > Fr Windws XP and Windws 7, use the fllwing IP Address: Click twice. 4.2 Cnnecting t the PrtNde Web Cnfiguratr GUI After setting the PC n the same subnet as the PrtNde (Sectin 4.1), pen a web brwser n the PC and enter the IP Address f the PrtNde; the default address is 192.168.1.24. The Cnfiguratr Web GUI will nw appear when entering the device s IP Address n the brwser. Select the desired prtcl. Figure 11: Select System Page The Cnfiguratr Web GUI landing page will nw appear. 4.3 Set BACnet/IP and Mdbus TCP/IP Address f PrtNde t Same Switch/Ruter f the Device Frm the Web GUI s landing page, click n Netwrk Settings Tab t access the IP Settings menu. (Figure 13) Figure 13: IP Address Settings via Web GUI Enter new IP Address (N1 IP Address field) f the PrtNde Ethernet prt t the same switch r ruter s subnet that the device is cnnected. If necessary, change the Netmask (N1 Netmask field). Type in a new subnet mask. If necessary, change the IP Gateway (Default Gateway field). Type in a new IP Gateway. Reset PrtNde. Cnnect the PrtNde t same switch r ruter that the Device is cnnected. Cnnect the PC t the same switch r ruter and change the IP Address f the PC t be n the same subnet f the Device and the PrtNde. Recrd the IP Address assigned t the PrtNde fr future reference. After setting the PC t be n the same subnet as the PrtNde and the Device, pen a web brwser n the PC and enter the new IP f the PrtNde. 4.3.1.1 Set Device Instance fr each lighting panel attached t the Device The Device Instance can be set independently f the site administratr. As an example: A Device Instance is a BACnet Nde-ID which is btained by the netwrk administratr. Each lighting panel cnnected t the Device will have its wn BACnet Device Instance.
