V6_04 User manual of scales PCE-PS300MLS Fig. 1 View of the front panel All scales PCE-PSxxxMLS series are equipped with the same electronics system and buttons "TARA" and "F" function - Figure 1 (some types of scales have 3 keys "F1", "F2" and the "R"). Manual is an integral part of the technical data of the selected type of scale. ; 1 Working up the scale - hang the scale so that it hang freely (without deviation from the vertical); - remember about correct polarity plug of power supply fig. 2 - press the button TARA - wait for the appearance of zero on display of the scale. 2. Weighing "small" zero on the right side of the display indicates stable reading, if it is not achieved wait until you see the "big (normal)" zero or press the "TARA" button. tare device works in the whole range of the scale, reducing its measuring range loading the scale with greater mass than the Max is signaled by indication: "------"; in case of the absence of zero indication you have to switch off the scale and on it again display is equipped with a digital and analog option, on the left side there is a vertical line with the following marks LO and HI. 3. Working with inside battery The scales is equipped with two lithium - ion battery with a charging system with a light emitting diode next to the power socket which indicates the charging status. There are the following possible conditions: - LED doesn t light - supply power is not connected or battery is fully charged. - LED light continuously supply power is connected, but the battery is during charging. - LED blinks (blink rate - tens of seconds) - power supply is connected, error of charging. Turn off the power of the scale, reconnect the power supply without using button "TARA". While charging the power supply should be connected to the scale but the scale should be turned off - maximum charging time about 15 hours - minimum working time 30 hours - battery discharge is indicated with a "LO BAT" sign in the upper left corner of the display (it appears about 10 hours before final discharge ); - to charge the battery use stabilized power supply 12V/100mA 1
- to increase the battery life you should often use it - remember about correct polarity plug of power supply fig. 2 Fig. 2 Correct polarity the plug of power supply 4. Additional features include: remembering of the last measurement result, counting, additional filtration Remembering of the of the last weighing result - press the button "F" (F1) (the inclusion of this feature is indicated by a flashing sign "+" or "-" in front of the weight value); - after action of loading the pan, transient time is indicated by flashing - stabilize indications cause blocks of the result and a stable reading of it, even after removing the load; - if you want to cancel the result of the weighing press the "TARA" button. -. Counting the elements of the same mass.- The scale can determine the mass per unit calculated on the basis of sample components with different frequencies: 1 pc., 2p., 5p., 10p., 20p., 50p., 100p., 200p., 500p. The system has the limitation of software to prevent counting calibration sample with mass <1% Max. For counting heavier and less numerous elements you should calibrate the procedure of counting using a smaller sample (eg, 10 units). During counting lighter and more numerous elements you can calibrate the procedure using more numerous of samples (eg, 100).- The counting errors is affected by many factors. The most important include: the appropriate selection of the range and accuracy of the scale, determine the calibration of sample size, the differences between the mass of the individual component - to start counting function repeatedly press "F" (F1) until the display indicates sign "Count"; - then press the "TARA" buitton for approval of choice-window; it will show for example an indication "L10", where number is the sample size, which can be changed by pressing "F" (F1); - after pressing the button "F" (F1) you choose adequately large sample (see description above); wait about 3 sec for the automatic change display indication You should see a flashing display "I I". No change the indication means that the reading is unstable; - put on the pan deductible items; - continuous indication "1 I" means that the minimum sample weight was achieved (for very small mass calibration of the counting is not possible); - press the "TARA" button to accept the calibration mass; - appearance of letters indication ps means the completion of the calibration procedure of counting. Number of pieces is shown on the display of scale. In counting mode tare function works in the same way as in the weighing mode. Analog line does not work in counting mode. - subsequent press "F" (F1) start the menu to select the level of filtration (additional filtration can weigh moving objects) 2
additional filtration - additional filtration can weigh moving objects on the pan and shake the ground work on, etc. - indications of stability is through the longer measurement time - there are two levels: additional filtering off-screen indication of the "F of", additional filtering turned on-screen indication of the "F on". Switching between these states is carried out with the "TARA" button. All additional functions operate in the current mode filter set; - subsequent press of "F" (F1) button to switches the scale to normal weight; 5. The scale can be equipped with a pointing device with a higher resolution. It can be used for measuring small changes having a higher mass or small mass measurements. The display of indications with less plot than e is possible when you press the "R" button. 6. Off scale - press and hold down the "TARA" button (until the disappearance of indications); - the scale has automatic shut-off system, which works only with the battery supply; EC type-approval certificate No. EN 06 008 issued by the Central Office of Measures (notified body number 1440). Hook Scale PCE-PS300MLS Overview: 3 Functions and features of the scale: Additional stabilization result Counting pieces Remembering last result Mini USB port Digits display with a height of 2,2 cm Battery Li-ion do 50h 5 years warranty on load cell 2 years warranty Possible Legalization Scale hook PCE-PS300MLS is equipped with a backlit LCD display with large digits. Its main element is inductive transmitter, overload-proof, and reliable operating,
for which PCE company provides 5 year warranty. Inside the housing there is a small size Li-ion battery and charging system with stabilized power supply 12V/100mA. Scale features are: tare, reading function reading of increasing resolution over the entire range of measurement, remembering of the last result of weighing and an additional filter which dumps the movement of weighing object in the indication of the scale. To the lower hook of the scale, you can connect the ear hook or shackle.
